Singers Art Garfunkel, Ronnie Spector and actress/rocker Juliette Lewis are among a slew of artists joining forces to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first Rolling Stones hits compilation at a special one-off concert in New York.
Rosanne Cash, Steve Earle, Jackson Browne and Marianne Faithfull, the ex-girlfriend of Stones frontman Mick Jagger, will also be among the 21 artists taking to the stage at Manhattan's prestigious Carnegie Hall venue next Tuesday (13Mar12) to perform the 21 songs from Hot Rocks 1964-1971 - which was released at the end of 1971.
The Black Crowes star Rich Robinson, folk rocker Glen Hansard, and members of TV on the Radio are also due to take part in the tribute show, which will raise funds for music and arts programmes for youths.
Coincidentally, the event will also mark the Stones' 50th anniversary.
