Fact: Robin Thicke's controversial 2013 anthem Blurred Lines was named Song of the Year at the ASCAP Pop Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday (23Apr14). Tom Petty was honoured with the Founders Award at the Loews Hollywood Hotel gala and hitmaker Max Martin was named Songwriter of the Year for Beauty and a Beat, Daylight and Roar, among other tunes, while fun. picked up Ascap's Vanguard Award.

Fact: Paul McCartney's son James, Katherine Heigl's husband Josh Kelley, David Gray and The All-American Rejects will be among the acts performing in Park City, Utah during the upcoming Sundance Film Festival. They will all perform at the Sundance ASCAP Music Cafe at the Rich Haines Gallery.
