Avril Lavigne has been leaning on Yolanda Foster since being diagnosed with Lyme disease.

The 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' star, who discovered she had the same infectious disease three years ago, is so proud of the 'When You're Gone' hitmaker for going public about her health issues after privately supporting her for the past few months.

The Dutch beauty, who is top model Gigi Hadid's mother, said: ''I took Avril under my wing when she first got sick and shared all I know.''

She also told Bravo's Daily Dish: ''I am so proud of her for going public.''

Avril, 30, recently admitted she thought she was ''dying'' when she lost the ability to talk and move due to the disease, which is caused by tick bites.

The 'Complicated' hitmaker said: ''I felt like I couldn't breathe, I couldn't talk and I couldn't move. I thought I was dying.

''I had no idea a bug bite could do this. I was bedridden for five months.

''It felt like having all your life sucked out of you.''

The singer first realised there was something seriously wrong when she just wanted to stay in bed instead of going out partying in Las Vegas last October, where she and some pals were to celebrate her 30th birthday, but is now ''80 percent better.''
