Avril Lavigne became the latest surprise guest of Taylor Swift’s 1989 tour, as she joined the singer onstage in San Diego on Saturday night. The two popstars were rumoured to have fallen out earlier in the year, but its appears they’ve patched things up, as Swift declared her love for Lavigne and her 2002 hit ‘Complicated’.

Bringing Lavigne, who was wearing a sequinned dress and thigh high boots, to the stage, Swift then joined her for a rendition of ‘Complicated’ from the Canadian’s debut album. Writing on Twitter after the show Swift said, "So incredible sharing the stage with @AvrilLavigne! 'Complicated' is such a brilliant pop song and I just love her.”

The pair had been rumoured to not be on the best of terms after Taylor liked a post on Tumblr that suggested she treated her fans better during meet and greets than other stars such as Avril, Britney Spears, Katy Perry and Kanye West.
