The Backstreet Boys previewed new material ahead of their Wall of Fame presentation.
The Backstreet Boys - one of the biggest selling boy-bands in music history - have been inducted into the glittering Hollywood Walk of Fame, receiving their star on Monday afternoon (April 22, 2013). The prestigious honor comes in the same week that the group, made up of Nick Carter, Kevin Richardson, Brian Littrell, A.J McLean, celebrate their 20th year together as a band.
"It's amazing," Richardson told EW before the band previewed material from their new record for fans in Hollywood on Saturday, "To be able to do this for so long, it's quite an accomplishment." Littrell, 38, says the band's journey from Orlando-start-up to Walk of Famers doesn't seem as long as it should, "Sometimes life gets too fast, especially with Millennium and Black and Blue and stuff that happened many years ago. It just moves too fast," he said.

The group are currently putting the finishing touches on their still untitled album due out later this year - their first since separating from the now defunct Jive Records. "People's attention spans are quick, and you have to think about that in the process of making your record and releasing new material," said Richardson "You have to keep that in mind, which is something we didn't do in the past."

Hundreds of fans turned out for the album preview on Saturday, with the band playing sections of eight songs including dance track 'In Your Arms,' the bullying-themed 'Madeline,' a mid-tempo track titled 'Soldier,' a love-song titled 'Breathe,' an acoustic driven track called 'Trust Me,' and a classic Backstreet Boys sounding song titled 'P.S.' "It's really powerful music that we have a connection with that's about what we're going through right now," Richardson said later in a press conference.
