The Beatles' beloved film A Hard Day's Night is heading back to cinemas in celebration of the 50th anniversary of its premiere.
The British band's comedy-musical debuted in 1964 at London's Pavilion Theatre during the height of Beatlemania and to mark the milestone, studio bosses have decided to re-release a restored version of the movie in 50 cities across the U.S.
Directed by Richard Lester, the film was shot for just $500,000 (£297,406) but went on to gross more than $12 million (£7.14 million).
The newly restored version premiered earlier this month (Apr14) at the TCM Classic Movie Film Festival in Hollywood, just months after Lester received a career achievement award from the Los Angeles Film Critics Association in January (14).
A Hard Day's Night is set to be released on America's Independence Day weekend (04Apr14), and run for a week.
