The Beatles are now appearing on iPhones thanks to a new deal between the existing members of the Fab Four, the widows of John Lennon and George Harrison and bosses at Internet holding company Metatron Inc.
Five new Beatles-related video applications will be available to download on iPad, iPhone and iTouch platforms later this spring (10).
The titles include The Journey, a look at the band's beginnings; Big Beat Box, a documentary about the rise of Beatlemania, and a five-part documentary on the history of the Fab Four, called The Long & Winding Road.
The applications also feature rare footage of John Lennon at work and play and a documentary about George Harrison.
Metatron CEO Joe Riehl says, "Beatles titles are some of the most popular media available and we are thrilled to be able to release these titles."
