The movie star and his estranged wife, Jennifer Garner, split in 2015
Hollywood superstars Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have had a relatively pain free divorce so far with the parents-of-three involved in one of showbiz’s most amicable splits. However, things are moving forward and – two months after Ben moved out of the family home – he appears to be dating Saturday Night Live producer, Lindsey Shookus.
Ben and Jen have been slowly separatig for the past two years
Ben and Jen announced their separation two years ago, in 2015, but have remained on good terms as they continue to parent their three children, Violet, 11, Seraphina, 8, Samuel, 5.
Superman is missing from the 'Justice League' trailer.
The first major trailer for 'Justice League' has finally dropped and it tells us a lot about what to expect in the forthcoming DC movie. Following directly on from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', we meet the majority of the team and the dangers they're set to face.
[L-R] The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman make up the Justice League
We see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) having taken a long journey somewhere, most likely to track down Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) in an isolated fishing village. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.
Miller starred opposite Affleck in 'Live By Night' - which had a script that required an entire day to shoot all the sex scenes.
Any movie star will tell you that the most awkward and potentially embarrassing aspect of their job is filming sex scenes.
Trying to remain cool and professional in a cramped room, half-naked with your colleagues and in front of dozens of crew members, cameras and lights… enough to make even the steeliest of nerves falter.
However, Sienna Miller reckons there’s one way to cure this – if both actors approach it with a sense of humour. She was cast opposite Ben Affleck in Live By Night, playing the Irish moll Emma Gould to Affleck’s gangster Joe Coughlin, and spoke at the red carpet premiere about having to film sex scenes for a whole DAY.
He plays an 'outlaw' in his latest movie.
Ben Affleck's latest directorial venture is a gangster thriller based on the 2012 novel 'Live By Night' by Dennis Lehane. It's all about a man who decides that he isn't going to live by anyone else's rules anymore and decides to take on a mob boss with the help of the latter's girlfriend.
Ben Affleck directs and stars in 'Live By Night'
'Joe Coughlin starts off as a guy who goes to the First World War as a believer [but] he becomes very disillusioned after that war, it was purposeless really', Ben explained. '[He] decides he's not going to take orders from anybody and he's going to become an outlaw. So he takes up a life as an outlaw and lives that way, living by night, for a period of time.'

Sometimes it takes a good director to bring out the best in an actor.
Zoe Saldana has opened up about her experiences working with Ben Affleck on his latest directorial venture 'Live By Night'; a gangster thriller in which he also stars set in the 1920s; and it's the best performance she reckons she's given in years.
Zoe Saldana stars alongside Ben Affleck in 'Live By Night'
According to Zoe Saldana, not all directors enjoy the process of working with actors. It might sound crazy, but this can really affect how an actor performs on set. Zoe didn't have to worry about that though because Ben Affleck was super understanding - given that he's an actor first.
While this slick dramatic thriller plays with some intriguing ideas and themes, it never actually breaks the surface, relying on silly plotting and simplistic moralising. It also uses autism as little more than a plot point. Still, it's sharply shot and edited to create plenty of interest, with comical asides and some intense action. So it's entertaining even if it's both preposterous and shallow.
It centres on Christian (Ben Affleck), a mild-mannered autistic accountant with a big secret: he's not only cooking the books for top gangsters around the world, but he's also an efficient killer. In his day job, he's hired by Lamar (John Lithgow) and his sister Rita (Smart) to locate an anomaly in their robotics company's books. Working with company accountant Dana (Anna Kendrick), Christian crunches the numbers and finds more than anyone expected. Meanwhile, Federal Agent Ray (J.K. Simmons) wants catch this mythical mob accountant-killer before he retires, so he coerces analyst Marybeth (Cynthia Addai-Robinson) into tracking him down. But just as they close in on Christian, so does hyperactive hitman Brax (Jon Bernthal).
The script by Bill Dubuque (The Judge) never even remotely holds water. Christian's autism provides some intriguing flashbacks, which build throughout the movie to a climactic moment, as his militaristic father cruelly treats his condition by sending him to Karate Kid-style training in Indonesia with his silently annoyed little brother. Where a real autistic child would revert into the horror of all of that, Christian emerges as adeptly skilled at engaging with everyone he meets and also able to fight more efficiently than experienced military commandos, whom he kills by the dozen as Brax and his army surround him. No, it makes absolutely no sense, but as a movie it's a rather amusing waste of time.

The 'Batman' actor got seriously passionate about the NFL last night.
Ben Affleck is officially not someone we ever want to argue with, especially when it comes to American football. The 'Batman v Superman' star launched a slurred, expletive-laden, unsmiling rant about Deflategate in an appearance on the HBO talk show 'Any Given Wednesday with Bill Simmons' yesterday (June 22nd 2016) that was so bizarre, it left viewers worrying about his mental health.
Ben Affleck really has a problem with deflategate
We've all done it; found that one issue that really grinds our gears and somehow managed to complain about it at the tops of our lungs for a solid ten minutes to a usually disinterested party, and Ben Affleck has proved he's just like the rest of us when it comes to matters he's passionate about.

'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' finally made its New York premiere yesterday (March 20th 2016) as fans gear up for the excitement of its theatrical debut on Friday. The cast and crew of the hugely anticipated DC crossover movie were all over the red carpet, along with a few special guests and the cast of pre-Batman TV series 'Gotham'.
Gal Godot, Amy Adams and Holly Hunter looked stunning in their premiere gowns as they joined male co-stars Ben Affleck, Henry Cavill and Jesse Eisenberg at the event. Oscar winner Hunter plays Senator Finch in the new film, which sees a world turning against the all-powerful Superman, in favour of a mortal hero with less chance of inflicting collateral damage or, indeed, destroying the world on an impulse.
The pair attracted rumours of a reconcilation after attending a counselling session together
After 10 years going strong, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner shocked the world with news of their divorce and the pair have put a further nail in the coffin by quashing all possible reunion rumours. The A-List actors called time on their marriage a couple of months ago and now, despite admitting they "still cared about each other", they remain in a state of separation.
Despite the two attending a couselling session earlier this week, they are not getting back together
The possibilities of a reunion were sparked when the two looked happy and relaxed in each other’s company while leaving a family counselling centre last week.

Over the last few months we’ve seen a host of celebrity divorces and rumours of marital discord. In case you’ve missed any, here’s a rundown of the most shocking splits of Summer 2015.
For those living in the Western hemisphere, summer is drawing to a close. Unfortunately, this summer has been filled with news of celebrity divorces and separation rumours concerning some of the most beloved stars on the planet. In case you’ve missed any – let’s face it, there’s been a lot to keep up with – here’s a recap.
Sources told People magazine that the recent allegations around Affleck's love life may be affecting Garner.
Ever since they announced their divorce back at the end of June this year, Jennifer Garner and Ben Affleck have been spotted together in public putting up a united front for the sake of their three children. They have kept their wedding rings on during these family outings and have even been living on the same property together, albeit apparently in different buildings.
However, a source close to the family has told People magazine on Thursday (August 27th) that Garner is now having second thoughts about their living arrangements. “Jen will always make sure that Ben spends as much time with the kids as he wants, but she is rethinking their living situation. She can't stand the situation Ben has put her and the kids in.”

Us Weekly reported that Affleck had struck up the relationship while still trying to resolve his difficulties with his now-ex-wife Jennifer Garner earlier this year.
Ben Affleck has denied the sensational report that he is a new relationship with his children’s ex-nanny, and that he started doing so during a 10-month trial separation period from his now ex-wife Jennifer Garner.
Us Weekly reported on Wednesday (July 29th) that multiple sources close to the family had told them that 42 year old Affleck had begun dating 28 year old Christine Ouzounian, a Californian woman he had hired from a Beverly Hills babysitting agency to be a nanny for his three children this spring.

Clark Kent is a reporter for the Daily Planet in his everyday life, but a much hated alien powerhouse beneath the earthly guise. As Superman he has the power to destroy the world and, even though he would never dream of it, the world wants him gone. Even his efforts to become the ultimate hero go unappreciated, in particular by his Gotham rival Bruce Wayne; a billionaire vigilante known as Batman by night. He believes Superman is to blame for all the horror the Earth has been faced with, and vows to take him despite his limited abilities. It isn't long before the two are forced to unite, however, in order to protect the citizens of Earth from a real threat that could prove to thrust the planet into oblivion.
Eisenberg, who plays Lex Luthor in the upcoming 'Batman v Superman' movie, was part of a Q&A panel at the San Diego convention.
Jesse Eisenberg apparently didn’t enjoy being at Comic-Con, likening his experience at the massive convention to “some kind of genocide”. We know the crowds can be a little forceful, but seriously?
Giving a reaction to this year’s annual sci-fi and comic fest to the Associated Press on Monday (July 13th), the actor made the somewhat questionable remarks. “It is like being screamed at by thousands of people,” he reflected, “I don’t know what the experience is throughout history, probably some kind of genocide. I can’t think of anything that’s equivalent.”

Is it really wise to trust your most dangerous sworn enemies? Sometimes you have little choice when there are threats in the world too brutal to put your best men on. Amanda Weller is in charge of a top secret government organisation known as A.R.G.U.S. They have in their detainment some of the world's craziest psychopaths, supervillains and powerful mutants, and while they are being of no use to society stuck in prison cells, Weller introduces a brand new team known as the Suicide Squad in which these criminals can carry out seemingly impossible missions with the promise of freedom or, at least, reduced sentences. Among them are such fiends as Harley Quinn, The Joker, Captain Boomerang, Deadshot, Enchantress, Rick Flagg and Killer Croc - who are all willing to band together and save the world, even if they die trying.
After debuting at Comic Con over the weekend the extra-long Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice trailer is finally online.
A new full length trailer for the highly anticipated Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice has just hit online, offering fans their best look yet at the upcoming clash between the two comic book titans. Debuting at Comic Con this weekend the trailer was well received by fans who found plenty to talk about including Jesse Eisenberg's menacing Lex Luthor.
The nearly four minute trailer showcases Ben Affleck's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman, while also heavily featuring Eisenberg as the villainous Luther. It also offers our first real look at Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jeremy Irons as butler Alfred Pennyworth, while also including Holly Hunter, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane and Amy Adams as Lois Lane.
The Hollywood hunk will reportedly direct, co-write and star in a standalone Batman film after appearing in Zack Snyder's 'Dawn of Justice'.
Comic-book fans: prepare to cheer, boo - or tell us you already knew - Ben Affleck is expected to be officially named as the director of a standalone Batman movie in which he'll also star as the caped crusader.
Is Ben Affleck going behind the camera for a forthcoming Batman film?
Deadline reports that Affleck is teaming up with DC Comics' chief creative officer Geoff Johns to write the movie, and the script could even be ready by the end of this summer. With Zack Snyder's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reaching cinemas in March next year, and the director's Justice League Part One pencilled in for November 2017, it's not yet clear when this new Affleck-helmed Batman title will slot in.

Ben Affleck reacted much like the rest of the internet when he found out he’d been cast as Batman.
Ben Affleck has revealed he couldn’t quite believe it when he found out he’d landed the role of iconic superhero Batman in Zack Snyder’s upcoming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The actor will play an ageing caped crusader opposite Henry Cavill’s Superman in the Warner Bros flick, which hits cinemas in March 2016.

Batman and Superman go head to head in the new trailer for 'Dawn of Justice'.
The first trailer for the DC crossover movie 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' has finally arrived - and it's difficult to tell who's most formidable, despite the fact that one superhero has earned his power, and the other was gifted at birth.
'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' is coming next year
Zack Snyder is returning with the sequel to 2013's Superman adventure 'Man Of Steel', and it's our first taste of The Justice League as they hit theaters for the first time. While the plot remains unknown, we can gather that the world has become disillusioned with Clark Kent (Henry Cavill); mistrusting of him given humanity's history with power and corruption, and fearful that their faiths are being questioned.
The internet is freaking out over something weird again...
In weird news this weekend, Ben Affleck apparently has an ancestor, who was a slave-owner. And he really doesn’t want you to know about that, apparently.
Could this affect Affleck's goody goody image?
When Affleck appeared on the PBS documentary series Finding Your Roots, the slave-owning ancestor apparently came up, but was never mentioned during the episode. The reveal, made by WikiLeaks, was contested by a statement on the PBS website.

The latest round of leaked Sony emails appear to show that the ‘Batman v Superman’ actor wanted his family tree censored for the doc.
Ben Affleck asked PBS to edit out his slave-owning ancestor from the actor's edition of ‘Finding Your Roots’, it has been reported. A leaked email exchange between the show's host Professor Henry Louis Gates, Jr and Sony chief Michael Lynton, shows the two debated editing out the ancestor after the actor made the request.
Ben Affleck’s edition of ‘Finding Your Roots’ has become a hot topic after the latest round of leaked emails.
". . . For the first time, one of our guests has asked us to edit out something about one of his ancestors — the fact that he owned slaves," the professor told Sony chief Michael Lynton in the email chain dated July 22, 2014.
Zack Synder has shared the real version of 'Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice' after a pirated version, filmed on a mobile phone, leaks online.
Director Zack Synder did not despair when the exclusive trailer of Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice was leaked online on Thursday. The grainy footage, shot on a mobile phone camera, immediately went viral and certainly did not do justice to the true version.
Ben Affleck as Batman in Batman v. Superman.
We're not saying it was a ploy by the Hollywood Hype Machine, but...
As far as publicity goes, the leaked Batman vs. Superman trailer may have worked in the movie’s favour. Sure, the early release meant it sort of clashed with the first look at Star Wars: Episode VII, but then this probably means that the superhero showdown will get an extra day of hype, once the actual, legit trailer drops/is released by the studio for real.
The shaky, second-hand recording of the trailer was only on YouTube for minutes, before being taken down, but it was enough to generate pages and pages of coverage, because, you know, content is kind of like gold for entertainment writers.
The trailer is our first real look at Ben Affleck as Batman - but not quite yet.
