Ben Affleck surprised fans at San Diego Comic-Con on Saturday (July 24) during Warner Bros’ panel at Hall H. The Batman actor appeared alongside his co-stars from the upcoming Justice League movie and helped unveil the first footage from the much-anticipated comic book film, which is due for release next November.

Appearing in front of the 6,000-strong gathering of fans, Affleck first paused to have his own ‘nerd’ moment. Taking a picture of the huge crowd he said: ”I've never done this before, it’s kind of nerdy. It’s just not going to happen again, it’s kind of a cool moment for me.”

Speaking about taking on the role of Batman, Affleck told fans: "[Batman] is one of the most iconic characters of contemporary [times]. I’m deeply honoured and thrilled to get a chance to do it. Thank you for giving me the opportunity."

Fans then got a special treat when the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Justice League movie was revealed. In the clip, Affleck’s Batman tries to recruit Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller) and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) to join him and Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot).

The movie, which is due for release in November 2017, will also feature Henry Cavill as Superman,  Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, as well as newcomer Amber Heard as Aquaman's love interest, sea queen Mera.
