Garner opened up on her split from Affleck in a tell-all interview with Vanity Fair last month.
Last month Jennifer Garner spoke candidly to Vanity Fair about the breakdown of her decade-long marriage to Ben Affleck. Now the Batman v Superman star has spoken about his ex’s tell-all interview for the first time, saying he understood why she did it.
Ben Affleck has spoken about ex-wife Jennifer Garner’s Vanity Fair interview.
Speaking to The New York Times, Affleck said: “Jen’s great. She’s a great person. We’re on great terms. I just saw her this morning, so that’s the reality that I live in.”
When asked about Garner’s Vanity Fair interview he added: “She felt like she wanted to discuss it and get it out there and get it over with so she could say, ‘Look, I already talked about it — I don’t want to do it again.’”

Affleck said that he prefers not to publicly discuss his family for the sake of his three children and “because it ends up being in the record somewhere, in the great miasma of junk on the Internet.”
In the Vanity Fair article, Garner described her ex as a “complicated” guy. "I always say, ‘When his sun shines on you, you feel it,’" she said. "But when the sun is shining elsewhere, it’s cold. He can cast quite a shadow,”.

Garner also addressed rumours that the couple’s marriage had ended because Affleck had an affair with their nanny.
“Let me just tell you something. We had been separated for months before I ever heard about the nanny,” Garner said. “She had nothing to do with our decision to divorce. She was not a part of the equation.”
