Superman is missing from the 'Justice League' trailer.
The first major trailer for 'Justice League' has finally dropped and it tells us a lot about what to expect in the forthcoming DC movie. Following directly on from 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', we meet the majority of the team and the dangers they're set to face.
[L-R] The Flash, Superman, Cyborg, Wonder Woman, Batman and Aquaman make up the Justice League
We see Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) having taken a long journey somewhere, most likely to track down Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) in an isolated fishing village. Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) is the first to unite with Bruce as he gathers the Justice League, both spurred by the brave sacrifice of their friend Clark Kent (Henry Cavill). Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) is a little shocked to be recruited, especially while he's got his own problems to deal with such as his father Henry Allen (Billy Crudup) being in prison.
Ray Fisher plays Victor Stone aka Cyborg
Victor Stone (Ray Fisher) is carrying the Mother Box that turned him into Cyborg, while his father Dr. Silas Stone (Joe Morton) is apparently getting ambushed by a parademon for it. Lois Lane (Amy Adams) is seen searching the sky, but no Clark Kent appears.

So what exactly do Batman, Aquaman, Wonder Woman, The Flash and Cyborg have to face in this new tale? It seems that an army of parademons have been sent after them; an extra-terrestrial race from the planet Apokolips which is ruled by Darkseid. However, his uncle Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds) has been announced as the main villain of the piece; somebody who Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) namelessly warned about before in 'Batman v Superman'.
Ezra Miller, Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck star in 'Justice League'
Superman, while he doesn't make an appearance in the trailer, will be returning for this film despite his apparent death in the previous movie. But it seems to be Aquaman who steals the show for this film; he's fearless, takes no prisoners and certainly possesses power that the others can only dream of. The trailer sees him enlist the help of his bride and former Queen of Atlantis Mera (Amber Heard).
Jason Momoa plays Arthur Curry aka Aquaman
Directed by Zack Snyder ('Man of Steel', 'Watchmen') with a screenplay by the Academy Award winning Chris Terrio ('Argo'), both of whom worked on 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice', 'Justice League' will be preceded by the 'Wonder Woman' origin story (out in June) and thus a few characters from that movie will also appear in this film. 'Aquaman' is set to follow in 2018, while 'The Batman' is currently in development.
'Justice League' is set to arrive in movie theaters on November 17th 2017.
