Fact: Sir Ben Kingsley has shown off his lip-syncing skills on TV as another British knight, Elton John. The Oscar winner has challenged Star Trek's John Cho to a Lip Sync Battle, and the two stars will go head to head when the new season of the quirky song miming show debuts in the U.S. on 12 October (16). Kingsley dressed up in complete Rocket Man garb for his performance as Sir Elton.

Fact: Sir Ben Kingsley and French actress Charlotte Le Bon are set to join actor Joseph Gordon-Levitt in a new biopic about high-wire stuntman Philippe Petit. Director Robert Zemeckis will take charge of the big screen adaption of the daredevil's memoir, To Reach the Clouds. Petit made history in 1974 when he 'walked' between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center in New York. The feat was later recounted in the Oscar-winning 2008 documentary Man on Wire.

Fact: Sir Ben Kingsley was presented with a United Leadership Award at the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum's What You Do Matters dinner in Los Angeles on Thursday night (06Mar14). He was given the gong to mark his efforts to raise awareness of the Holocaust, including his acclaimed role in 1993 movie Schindler's List.
