The ‘Sherlock’ actor guests on ‘The Daily Show’ tonight (November 19th)
Benedict Cumberbatch must be used to getting fans hot under the collar by now, but it appears his unique charm even works on Jon Stewart, host of 'The Daily Show'.
Step back Jon Stewart, it's Benedict Cumberbatch
The actor appears on the talk show tonight (November 19th), as part of his latest promotional tour for movie ‘The Imitation Game’.
In the interview, Stewart tells the ‘Sherlock’ star he's upset at how Cumberbatch makes him feel. Joking, "I have a lot of guests on the show, you're the first guest where … I want to rip your clothes off and sell it on Ebay.” After which Cumberbatch laughs and quips,"maybe we could come to an arrangement."

Alluding to the actor's hold over his female fanbase, Stewart then says that if Cumberbatch was to “oil up his backside and bare it in a Kardashian like pose this planet could end.” To be fair, that does sound like a pretty accurate description.
Cumberbatch is also asked how he deals with his fans jumping up and clapping whenever he appears. “It doesn’t ever normalise, it’s wonderful but very strange," the newly engaged star said.

Currently Cumberbatch is earning high praise (and Oscar buzz) for his role as Alan Turing, the World War II code breaker in ‘The Imitation Game’. The film, which also stars Keira Knightley, hits US theatres on November 28th.
