Easter’s just around the corner and for some it seems a good old fashioned chocolate egg just won't cut it. Enter the Cumberbunny, an edible chocolate rabbit with the face of ‘Sherlock’ star Benedict Cumberbatch. Yes it’s real and yes it’s slightly terrifying but it might just be every fangirl’s dream come true.

Made by Chocolatician, The Cumberbunnies come in three different flavours, milk, white, and dark chocolate and are priced starting at £50. While all the Cumberbunnies are stylishly dressed in a bow tie, the white chocolate one is extra special as, in a nod to the Oscars, his is 22 carat gold and still edible.

According to the Chocolatician website, the extra special white Cumberbunny will ‘spring from his white warren box with a beautiful orange ribbon and easter bunny tag, sealed in a cellophane bag for freshness.’ The website also promises that more bunnies with famous faces will be coming soon.

“It was obvious how popular Benedict Cumberbatch is,” chocolatier Jen Lindsey-Clark told the Evening Standard. “We decided it would be rather fun to make a mini rabbit version so all the die-hard Cumberfans could get a piece of him.”

It’s not the first time they’ve used the actor as their muse, last year they created 'Chocobatch', a life sized chocolate figure of Cumberbatch made from nearly 500 bars of Belgian milk chocolate. The Cumberbunnies each take three hours to make and are cast from a food safe silicone mould.
