The Producers Of Benedict Cumberbatch's Hamlet Have Reportedly Been Ordered To Clamp Down On Noisy Fans Gathered Outside The London Theatre Following Complaints From Local Residents.
The Imitation Game star is currently playing the title role in William Shakespeare's tragedy at the Barbican in the British capital, prompting mass hysteria among the actor's devotees, who gather outside the venue every night in a bid to get a glimpse of their idol.
It has now been reported that residents at a luxury apartment block close to the Barbican Centre have complained to the local council about the noise from fans gathered at the stage door after the play finishes, and editors of Dailymail.com report an 11pm curfew has now been put in place.
A spokesman for the City of London Corporation says, 'It seems reasonable given 'curtain down' time for the production (is at 10.20pm)."
A Barbican Theatre representative adds, "We always aim to ensure the area is vacated by 11pm and noise is kept to a minimum."
