Benedict Cumberbatch and R Kelly? A match made in heaven.
Jimmy Kimmel wins the Internet this week. The late show host regularly has mismatched guests, and he decided to do something about it Wednesday night (December 4).
Benedict Cumberbatch Recited R Kelly's Lyrics!
Benedict Cumberbatch and R. Kelly appeared on the show, and decided to add a little twist. The Sherlock actor appeared for a dramatic reading of R. Kelly's 'Genius.' To give you an idea of how silly the song is, here's a sampling of the lyrics -
"I can feel your body flowers / While I'm kissin on your thighs / You got me like la la la la la baby."
Cumberbatch's reading included that select lyric and many others. And in case you're wondering, that is not the worst one in the song (plus, it's from an album called Black Panties).
The British actor has been nominated for a Golden Globe, Emmy and BAFTA Award, but may have given his best performance Wednesday night on Jimmy Kimmel Live.
Cumberbatch kept a mostly straight face as he read the ridiculous lyrics from the singer.

"Go to sleep, and when we wake up I'll hit that thing again. Promise," Cumberbatch continued as he looked directly into the camera.
The crowd laughed and cheered the entire performance, which was a brilliant way by Jimmy Kimmel to bring his two very-opposite guests together.
"Watch your back 2 Chainz," Kimmel added. "Cumberbatch is in town."
