'Star Trek Into Darkness' star Benedict Cumberbatch has admitted he has become ''overexposed'' and joked he wouldn't be surprised if people were ''sick of the sight'' of him.
Benedict Cumberbatch says he is ''overexposed''.
The 'Star Trek Into Darkness' actor - who has also recently appeared in the likes of 'The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug' and 'Sherlock' - has admitted fans might be seeing a bit too much of him lately on the big and small screens.
Speaking to Adelaide's The Advertiser newspaper, he said: ''I'd hate to think anyone is sick of the sight of me, although I wouldn't blame them.
''It's just crazy. I've overexposed myself! Actually that sounds a bit dirty.''
However, the 37-year-old old star insisted he still takes pride in his various roles, and tries to make sure the parts he takes on are ''varied enough''.
He added: ''I'm proud of every single project. I can genuinely say that it is varied enough, as a slate, to not fear too much overexposure. I just hope the public agree because they are seeing a lot of me.
''It would be really churlish to complain about anything to be honest. I'm very fortunate to be in the position I'm in.''
Benedict recently opened up about his status as a sex symbol, joking that he has certain animal-like qualities despite many people being impressed with his looks.
He said: ''[There is a] blessing of having a weird face, somewhere between an otter and something people find vaguely attractive. Or just an otter which is vaguely attractive.''
