Irish singer Bernie Nolan is set to release a book detailing her battle with cancer.

The Nolans star revealed in October (12) she is fighting the disease again, just two years after doctors gave her the all-clear from breast cancer.

The 52 year old has been told by medics she is nearing the end of her life after the cancer spread to her lungs, liver, and bones, and it has now been revealed the singer has been writing about her latest health battle for a new autobiography, entitled Now and Forever.

Fenella Bates, editorial director of publishing company Hodder & Stoughton, says, "Bernie Nolan is an incredibly brave and inspiring woman. As soon as she received the diagnosis last summer, her first thought was of her daughter. As recent headlines have suggested, Bernie is tragically in the final stages of her fight, but she is still battling with all her might to stay with her family for as long as she can.

"She has been writing her book for the last six months and it's impossible not to be moved by the wonderfully warm-hearted voice that comes through loud and clear on every page. It is a searing account of a wife and mother's fight against a vicious disease, and the life less ordinary Bernie has lived over the last 50 years."

The book will hit shelves in May (13). Nolan's husband Steve Doneathy revealed over the weekend (23-24Mar13) that the singer plans to spend her final days at her family home in Surrey, England after a brief spell in a hospice.
