Fact: Wacky designer Betsey Johnson will celebrate her 50th anniversary in fashion by receiving the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award from the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA). The star, known for her whimsical style, will be presented with the honour at the CFDA Awards on 1 June (15) at the Lincoln Center in New York. Tom Ford picked up the prize at last year's (14) ceremony.
