As Topshop, and its owner Sir Philip Green, try to become immersed in the U.S. market, the high-street store has announced a huge business partnership with Beyoncé to produce a new line of athletic street wear, which will launch later this year.

The songstress will produce a new line of athletic street wear for the U.K. retailer

The forthcoming brand, called Parkwood TopShop Athletic, will include a range of clothing, footwear and accessories for dance, fitness and any other sporting activities, which will be available in Topshop stores and the retailer's website.

"We have been looking at this category as fashion-inspired fitness develops, and know that this is right in our customers' heartland," Green said in a statement. "Creating a partnership with Beyoncé, one of the most hardworking and talented people in the world, who spends many hours of her life dancing, rehearsing and training is a unique opportunity to develop this category."

Topshop is known for collaborating with high-profile names over the years, most notably supermodel Kate Moss who revived her partnership with the Green earlier this year.

This isn't Beyoncé's first venture into the world of fashion, she has previous experience in this industry via the House of Deréon brand she started with her mother in 2005. Last summer, the 33 year-old songstress also became the face of the international retailer H&M.
