Beyonce is "99.9 per cent" confirmed to play the Brit Awards 2014 ceremony in London next week. The 32-year-old famously sang Crazy in Love at the event in 2004 though was forced to pull out of last year's show.

BeyonceBeyonce For The BRITS 2014?

A source told The Sun: "Beyoncé is on. The only reason this has not yet been announced officially is because the Brits guys are nervous it could all go wrong again. But what I can tell you is that in her camp it's 99.9 per cent on."

A representative for the Brit Awards - careful not to totally reject the possibility - said the rumours were "speculation" and could not confirm whether Beyonce would perform.

The singer - easily the biggest R&B star in the world - opened the Grammy Awards in Los Angeles earlier this month with a rendition of Drunk in Love with husband Jay-Z.

Beyonce caught the music business off-guard when she released her fifth studio album without prior promotion in December last year.

The Brit Awards 2014 will be held at The O2 Arena in London on Wednesday February 19 and broadcast live on ITV. James Corden will host the ceremony for the final time and recently backed Jack Whitehall, Emmis Willis or Alan Carr to takeover.
