Beyonce's make-up artist ensures she constantly ''glows'' onstage.

The 32-year-old singer may sing the lyrics ''I woke up like this'' on her hit song 'Flawless', but beauty expert Sir John - the man responsible for her make-up on her 'On the Run tour' with husband Jay Z - has revealed how he helps the singer look her best during concerts.

Talking to Style.com Sir John explained: ''I'm rebuilding - powdering, reapplying a lip. The eyes are always OK - we just want to make sure that when she runs out that she's not [shiny] in the T-zone, that she's glowy everywhere else, and that her lip is perfect.

''I'm watching the monitor from the start of the show to the end to make sure everything is impeccable and I have razor-sharp focus to make sure nothing is messed up.''

To keep Beyonce glowing rather than greasy, Sir John added that he keeps the centre of her face free from glitter.

For fans hoping to recreate the look, he advises to use a matte ''rusty peach'' on the apples of the cheeks and then follow up with a ''dark cinnamon shimmer'' along the hollows of the cheekbones to add definition.

Sir John also opened up about the speed it takes for his A-list client to change costumes in between songs on tour.

He explained: ''When Beyoncé does a quick change, it's like the Daytona 500, when the cars come in and they have to hurry up and change the wheels in, like, twenty seconds. When she comes back, everyone is grabbing a piece of her. ''
