Beyonce is the face of Gucci's new charity Time For Change.

The 'Crazy In Love' singer is teaming up with 'Grown Ups' actress Salma Hayek to launch the global campaign to raise money and awareness for girls' and women's empowerment by sharing ''powerful stories'' from females around the world.

The movement aims to focus on three main pillars - Education, Health and Justice - and Beyonce, 31, is ''honoured'' to be able to help change the fate of women around the globe.

Speaking in a statement, Beyonce - who has 13-month-old daughter Blue Ivy with husband Jay-Z - explained: ''I have always felt strongly about equal opportunity for women. Girls have to be taught from early on that they are strong and capable of being anything they want to be.

''It's up to us to change the statistics for women around the world. I'm honoured to be in the company of women who live fearlessly and set an example for the next generation of young ladies.''

Salma, 41, is also extremely ''proud'' to be a part of the charity set up by Gucci - who also support her husband Francois-henri Pinault's company PPR's Corporate Foundation for Women's Dignity and Rights, of which she is a board member.

She added: ''I am proud to be joining the growing international movement on behalf of girls and women around the world.

''I believe that by working together we can change the course of history to ensure that girls and women are empowered to realise their potential and thrive.''

The raven-haired beauty will also be executive producer of a film unit dedicated to creating ten short films about inspiring girls and women from around the world.

Chime For Change also has a star-studded advisory board, with Julia Roberts, Jada Pinkett Smith, John Legend and Meryl Streep being just a few of the celebrities involved.
