Beyonce has no plans of settling down or putting her career on the back burner now that she's a mother. However, she is embarking on some entirely new projects and challenges,  and MTV has reported that HBO will be airing a documentary about the singer's life.

"HBO has a history of pushing every boundary with class and authenticity," Beyoncé said in a statement. "Some of my favorite shows are on HBO, so I am excited that my film will be part of its bold programming. This film was so personal to me, it had to have the right home.

"Everybody knows Beyoncé's music, but few know Beyoncé the person," added Michael Lombardo, president of HBO Programming. "Along with electrifying footage of Beyoncé onstage, this unique special looks beyond the glamour to reveal a vibrant, vulnerable, unforgettable woman."

Although Beyonce has been the subject of documentaries before, she has never before been so involved in the making and direction of them. Apparently, this one will include footage of her filming herself on her laptop which may prove it to be the most intimate of anything we've seen of her before. Although not much has yet been given away about the actual content of the documentary, the implication is that fans should star getting excited.

The documentary is set to air on February 16th next year. February is already an exciting month for Ms Knowles as she'll be performing at the Superbowl half time show on February 3rd.
