Beyoncé may not be eligible for enrolment into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but the museum's curator certainly thinks she deserves to be. The 32-year-old is being honoured at the Cleveland, Ohio based museum as many of her clothes from music videos, performances and red carpet events are being displayed.

A special exhibition is being commissioned by the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Museum and will fill a space previously reserved for those already enrolled into the Hall of Fame, the Hall of Legends. The museum curator, Meredith Rutledge-Borger, explained how the museum had been courting Beyonce for years and that they consider her on par with such great female artists as Aretha Franklin and Janis Joplin. This is one of the reasons why Beyonce's exhibition will be held in the Ahmet Ertegun Main Exhibit Hall.

Rutledge-Borger also stated Beyoncé had sent a vast array of her outfits and the exhibition hall was the only suitable space to display everything. As ABC News reports, Rutledge-Borger said: "When we looked at the depth of the amount of stuff that she was willing to send, we just thought, 'The only way we can really showcase these items is to put them in the Legends of Rock area in the museum,' which really is the spot that we have to pay tribute to legends of rock, which Beyoncé has proven herself to be."
