Billy Idol celebrates his comeback album and autobiography with world tour dates.
Remember, remember the fifth of November because that's when Billy Idol hit the O2 Academy Birmingham to kick off his UK tour! And with all the energy and style that we've become used to from this epic punk rock star.
Billy Idol unveiled his comeback album this year
The 'Dancing With Myself' hitmaker made a spectacular comeback in October 2014, with the release of his seventh studio album 'Kings & Queens of the Underground'; his first new material in nearly 10 years aside from the handful of new tracks that appeared on his 2008 compilation album 'The Very Best of Billy Idol: Idolize Yourself', such as 'John Wayne' and 'New Future Weapon'.

Billy Idol also released his 'Dancing With Myself' autobiography in the same month, so it's only right that he mark his return to form on home turf with three dates across the UK: Birmingham, London and Manchester. Judging by the atmosphere of his first show, there's going to be plenty of tears that his UK stint is so brief.
'Dancing With Myself' is his first autobiographical release
It's his first live performance in the UK since 2010's Download, where he totally enthralled the crowd despite some of the worst rain the festival's ever seen. Eager US fans will also get to experience the Idol's return as he's set to hit North America in January 2015, with dates spanning New Orleans, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Denver, Los Angeles and more. What's more, he'll also be visiting Europe and Australia on his 40-date bonanza.

Billy Idol's fame journey began as a co-founder of Generation X in the late 70s, before embarking on a solo career which saw four Platinum-certified albums and some incredible hits such as 'Mony Mony', 'White Wedding', 'To Be A Lover' and 'Cradle Of Love'. He details this whirlwind musical career in his 'Dancing With Myself' book, which also depicts his English and American childhood and everyone who has influenced his journey over the years.
