Country music duo Jubal Lee Young and Amanda Preslar made history on the U.S. talent show during the blind auditions on Monday (28Sep15) when the romantic singer got down on bended knee when Shelton asked if they were married.

Preslar replied, "Not yet... One day", as her boyfriend and singing partner produced a ring and asked her if she'd marry him.

It was a very special night for single dad Young, who performed Eagles hit Seven Bridges Road, which his father Steve wrote, with his bride-to-be.

Levine was soon helping the couple plan the wedding, stating, "I happen to know Blake is technically an ordained minister... so if you wanna get it done..."

The newly-engaged couple picked Pharrell Williams as their coach and the Happy star was thrilled, tweeting after the show, "I got my first duo AND they get engaged in front of our eyes. How is this real life?"

Emotions were high earlier in the show when Shelton recognised a familiar face as he snagged country rocker Tyler DICkerson. After his performance of Hard To Handle, the judge said, "I know you", prompting the wannabe to fight back tears as he recounted his hard-luck story.

DICkerson was signed to a major label when he was 15 and Big & Rich star John Rich became his manager, but he was dropped when the company went bust just before suffering injuries in an awful car accident.

Calling The Voice his "second chance", the singer said, "I had it all, and it was all taken away."
