Blood Orange's new single, Forget It, will be released on March 12th through Domino Records. It is taken from his acclaimed album Coastal Grooves, which was released in August 2011. Blood Orange will be playing at London's Field Day Festival on 2nd June 2012, as well as supporting Florence & the Machine on her US and Australian tours throughout April and May.
The video for Forget It was shot on VHS and directed by Alan Del Rio Ortiz (who also directed Sutphin Boulevard). We follow a day in the life of Blood Orange as he gets ready to visit his girlfriend. He takes his time, however and his girlfriend gets increasingly frustrated. When he does show up at her door, with, flowers, it doesn't end well.
Blood Orange is the project of Dev Hynes, who is well known for being a member of the bands Test Icicles (2004-2006) and Lightspeed Champion (2005-2011). In addition, he is also a producer and has worked with many artists, including Theophilus London; Diana Vickers; Basement Jaxx; Cassie; Florence & the Machine and Solange Knowles.
