Bob Dylan is due to drop his 38th studio album 'Triplicate' next week and in anticipation for the release, he has opened up in a rare interview about some of his favourite artists. He's the world's first musician to win a Nobel Prize for literature, but we bet you can't guess what he's listening to at the moment.

As well as all the obvious choices like Joan Baez, Link Wray and Frank Sinatra, the 'Like A Rolling Stone' singer's taste extends to a broader category of modern artists like The Stereophonics. Yep, we didn't see that one coming either.

Listing the records he's been listening to recently, Bob said in an interview with Bill Flanagan on his website: 'Iggy Pop's Après, that's a good record. Imelda May, I like her. Valerie June, The Stereophonics. I like Willie Nelson and Norah Jones' album with Wynton Marsalis, the Ray Charles tribute record. I liked Amy Winehouse's last record.'

He actually went on to describe the late Amy Winehouse as 'the last real individualist around' - a sentiment that he's certainly not alone in feeling. You won't be surprised to hear, however, that Bob is not very much into digital streaming when it comes to music. 'I listen on CDs mostly', he confessed.

Produced by Jack Frost, Bob Dylan's new album 'Triplicate' is a collection of songs by various other American artists including Frank Sinatra, Ray Bolger, Ethel Waters, Shep Fields and many others; pop and jazz standards that harken back to his early songwriting days. It marks his very first 3-disc album

Bob is on his European and North American tour from April 1st where he'll be performing at the Stockholm Waterfront in Sweden. He'll also hit Norway, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg, Belgium and the UK which includes a 3-night residency at the London Palladium. From June he'll be back in North America, finishing up at the Save On Foods Memorial Centre in Victoria, British Columbia.

'Triplicate' is set to be released on March 31st 2017 through Columbia Records.
