Bobbi Kristina Brown's Aunt Leolah Brown Went Crazy At At The 22 Year Old's Memorial In August (15) Because She Felt Her Niece Was Surrounded By People Who "Cared Nothing For Her".
The only daughter of singers Bobby Brown and the late Whitney Houston passed away in late July (15), six months after a near-drowning incident at her Georgia home. She was remembered during a ceremony at the St. James United Methodist Church in Alpharetta, Georgia on 1 August (15), when Bobby's sister Leolah heckled Whitney's former manager and sister-in-law, Pat Houston.
Aunt Leolah screamed, "Pat, you know you are wrong for this", as she delivered a eulogy, before she was escorted out of the church by filmmaker and family friend Tyler Perry.
Now, in a new interview with U.S. news show Inside Edition, she admits she was overcome with outrage over her niece's death.
She says, "Krissy was surrounded by people that cared nothing, nothing for her. They didn’t care about her, just like they didn’t care about Whitney."
Leolah recalls, "I got up and when I saw Pat making her way to the podium to speak, I turned and looked at Pat and I said, 'This is wrong. You know you’re wrong for this'. I said, ‘Whitney will haunt you from the grave'.
"The whole setup of the funeral was wrong. Krissy has a lot of nephews who were not allowed to be pallbearers. The way the programme was set up, Pat was being biased. I walked out a little early because I couldn’t take it anymore."
Leolah went on to blame her niece's death on Bobbi Kristina's former partner Nick Gordon, who shared the Georgia home with her.
Leolah claims, "Nick murdered Bobbi Kristina. I think when Nick gets arrested - I think everything will fall like dominoes."
Gordon is facing a $10 million (£6.2 million) lawsuit from Bobbi Kristina's court-appointed conservator, who filed papers in June (15), accusing him of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
The papers also allege Gordon transferred money from his girlfriend's account without her permission while she was comatose in an Atlanta-area hospital. In a later amendment, she alleged he gave his partner a "toxic cocktail" of drink and drugs after an argument. Brown was found face down and unresponsive in her bathtub and hospitalised.
She died on 26 July (15).
