Cissy Houston Opens Up About Bobbi Kristina's Condition, Claims There Is "Not A Great Deal Of Hope"

Cissy Houston has spoken out about her granddaughter's condition for the first time. Houston, the mother of Whitney Houston, revealed there's "not a great deal of hope" for her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina Brown. Houston was interviewed on New York radio station, WBLS FM 107, on Wednesday (25th March). She revealed vague details of Brown's condition and thanked fans for their support and well wishes during this difficult time.

Bobbi Kristina Brown's grandmother claims there's "not a great deal of hope" about her condition.

22-year-old Brown was found unconscious and unresponsive in a bathtub at her Atlanta home on January 31st. The incident occurred mere days before the third anniversary of her mother's death. Whitney Houston was found dead in her bathroom in 2012, she had drowned as a result of heart disease and cocaine use.

Brown was placed in a medically induced coma and has remained unconscious since the incident. Attempts by doctors to bring her out of the coma were aborted when Brown allegedly suffered seizures. Last week Brown was moved from Emory Hospital to a nearby rehabilitation centre. Reports suggest there may be further attempts to awaken her at the rehab facility.

"We've moved her to a place for rehabilitation and you know, still not a great deal of hope. (We're) still praying," Houston said.

The family are continuing to hope and pray for Brown's recovery but the 81-year-old Houston is coming to terms, with help of her faith, with the prospect of her granddaughter never recovering.

"If He works a miracle, thank God," Houston said, as the NY Daily News reports. "And if it happens the other way, I'm all right.
