The only daughter of Whitney Houston and ex-husband Bobby Brown had been in a medically-induced coma since she was found unresponsive and face down in a bathtub at the Roswell, Georgia home she shared with Gordon on 31 January (15).

On Sunday, the 22 year old's family decided to take her off life support, and she was surrounded by her loved ones at Peachtree Christian Hospice in Duluth, Georgia as she passed away.

Gordon had been banned from visiting Brown during her hospitalisation by her family, and reports surfaced late on Sunday, suggesting he had become suicidal following her death.

However, Jack Walker, Jr., who looked after Gordon during his youth while he was dating the boy's mother, insists Gordon is not on suicide watch, but he is extremely emotional.

Walker, Jr. tells U.S. news show Access Hollywood, "He's distraught. I can't put it into words right now."

He continues, "Krissi was a blessing to this world, she had the power to brighten the day of anyone in her presence. She will be dearly missed."

Meanwhile, Gordon faces another battle with his girlfriend's family after they filed a $10 million (£6.67 million) lawsuit accusing him of abusing Brown and stealing funds from her bank account.
