Bobby Brown has been released on bail after being arrested for driving under the influence yesterday (March 26, 2012). According to today's report from Tmz, Brown was driving a car when he was pulled over by police in California at 12.20pm local time. His $5,000 bail has been paid.
At the time of arrest, the 43 year old R&B singer and former husband to the late Whitney Houston was taken to Van Buys jail. His blood alcohol level was recorded at 0.08. He was originally pulled over by the cops for using his mobile phone whilst he was driving but when he was breathalysed, he was found to be under the influence. This isn't the first time that Bobby has been arrested for driving under the influence. In 1996, the New Edition singer served eight days in jail for the very same offence. He has, in the past, also been arrested for drug possession, resisting arrest and allegedly urinating in the back of a police vehicle.
Bobby Brown has rarely been out of the headlines since his ex-wife, Whitney Houston passed away in February 2012. The couple had a child together, Bobbi Kristina. At Whitney's funeral, Bobby left before the service had properly begun, reportedly due to a disagreement over seating arrangements; he insisted that he been unhappy that security had moved him and not allowed him to sit with his daughter.
