Bon Jovi drummer Tico Torres has rejoined the band on the road following back-to-back surgeries.

The rockers were forced to cancel South American dates last month (Sep13) as Torres underwent emergency gall bladder surgery followed by an appendectomy - and then had to replace him with Rich Scannella, who plays drums in frontman Jon Bon Jovi's solo band.

He returned to the drum kit in Fresno, California on Tuesday night (08Oct13), and is expected to complete the band's ongoing world tour, which runs until the end of the year (13).

Torres previously posted a note to fans online as he learned of his heath issues, writing: "There is nothing that can prepare one for a medical emergency but I have been taken especially good care of and would again like to thank all my doctors and health care professionals. I am very disappointed not to be able to perform but our friend Rich Scannella will stand in for me. You are in good hands. I will be there in spirit and back on stage soon."
