A monument honouring late AC DC star BON SCOTT is to be erected in his hometown in Scotland.
Born in Kirriemuir, the singer passed away at the age of 30 in 1983 and now community members have decided to salute him by commissioning sculptor John MCKenna to design a statue in his honour.
The artist tells U.K. publication The Daily Record, "It's early days, but it's a great honour. Bon Scott was an icon from my teenage years."
And Ac Dc bassist Mark Evans admits he is happy his pal will finally get a proper tribute, telling Ultimate Classic Rock, "It's so amazing that Bon is getting honoured like this... Bon already had a street named after him in Kirriemuir and now this! I look forward to visiting Bon's birthplace in the future."
