Rapper-turned-actor Bow Wow is set to star in a new TV sitcom produced by Ice Cube and scored by his mentor Jermaine Dupri.
The 24 year old, real name Shad Moss, has already tasted big screen success in films like Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift and Like Mike and he's now teamed up with the Are We There Yet? star for a new, as-yet-untitled project.
And he's brought Dupri onboard in the hope of replicating Will Smith and music icon Quincy Jones' success on 1990s comedy The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.
He tells AllHipHop.com, "I partnered with Ice Cube and he is producing my sitcom. I told JD when Will had his own show, Quincy Jones did all the music so it's only right that he does mine. So I got him doing all the scores to the TV show."
However, Bow Wow admits the series is still in its early stages of development and is currently in need of writers to create the script.
He says, "Once we get that we will have a name and we will definitely be filming this year, you'll be hearing a lot about that."
