Boy George has criticised London officials after they failed to find any surveillance footage of an alleged attack on his friend last week (02Apr11).
The Culture Club star was devastated to learn his pal Philip Sallon had been hurt during a night out in the U.K. capital last Saturday (02Apr11).
Sallon is still in hospital after sustaining broken bones and a fractured skull in the alleged attack in London's popular Piccadilly Circus.
The singer, real name George O'Dowd, is angry that no Cctv footage of the incident has been uncovered.
He tells Britain's Guardian newspaper, "This is an area that we are told is a terrorist hotspot, with cameras everywhere and yet there is no footage - it just seems so unlikely. This wasn't a squabble, he was kicked repeatedly in the face, he could have been killed and he is still not out of danger."
And the star is convinced his pal was targeted because of his flamboyant dress sense, adding, "It's hard to say and you don't want to jump to conclusions, but it must have been something to do with the way he looked. I can't think of any other reason. Philip is not a bruiser."
