Boy George Was Left "Disappointed" After A Fly-on-the-wall Documentary Charting Culture Club's Comeback Showed The Band Irritated And Annoyed When He Had To Pull The Tour Over A Throat Problem.
The Karma Chameleon hitmakers were scheduled to perform shows in the U.S. and U.K. late last year (14) but were forced to cancel the gigs when frontman George was diagnosed with a large polyp on his vocal cords and warned by medics that singing would risk destroying his voice forever.
Documentary-makers filming the group's reunion later broadcast scenes of other bandmembers upset over the cancellation, and George admits he was irritated when the producers chose to focus on the negativity.
He tells British magazine Event, "(It was) very disappointing. I was sick. I had a polyp on my throat. It would have been foolish for me to go out on the road with the problem I had. The tour would have stopped halfway through."
