Boyzone star Keith Duffy is celebrating after completing a 300 mile (482 kilometre) cycle challenge for charity.

The Irish singer set off on the trek from Malaga, Spain last week (ends26May13) and spent his weekend travelling through areas including Seville and Cadiz before ending the journey in Gibraltar on Monday (27May13).

Duffy and his cycling team were given an escort to the finishing line by local police, and he is thrilled to have completed the race, which he entered to raise money for autism organisation Hearts and Minds.

In a post on his Twitter.com page, he writes, "A huge thanks to the Gib (Gibraltar) Police for the wonderful welcome and escort to the square, U (you) made the end of a wonderful trip perfect!"

His Boyzone bandmate Ronan Keating ‏added, "Congrats (sic) to (Duffy) and all the team for finishing their cycle to Gibraltar for Autism. Respect pal."
