Singer Brad Paisley has recorded a song written by a dying friend.
Hard Life was written by his pal Joe Kindregan, a 23 year old battling ataxia-telangiectasia, a rare disease that combines symptoms of cystic fibrosis, muscular dystrophy and cancer.
The pair became friends in 2005 after meeting at a fundraising event.
Proceeds from the single, which is currently available at digital outlets, will benefit the non-profit A-T Children's Project.
Paisley tells Cmt.com, "I've known Joe for several years, and he is one of my favourite people. His disease is physically debilitating, but obviously creatively and mentally, Joe has such tremendous depth. It's an honour for me to be the person to give voice to his creativity and cause."
