The Mr. & Mrs. Smith stars jetted to the U.K. capital on Monday (22Jun15) so Jolie could have lunch at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office as part of her work to end sexual violence in war zones.

The couple then headed over to royal residence Kensington Palace on Friday to meet the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge to discuss ending the illegal wildlife trade, a cause close to Prince William's heart.

A spokesperson for the palace confirmed the meeting, telling Usmagazine.com, "Yes, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge met Mr. Brad Pitt and Mrs. Angelina Jolie-Pitt yesterday afternoon at Kensington Palace. They discussed their shared interest in combating the illegal wildlife trade."

Prince George, the royal couple's 23-month-old son, is said to have joined the lunch and the Hollywood stars reportedly brought a gift for the palace's new arrival, Princess Charlotte.

A source tells the publication, "Everyone got on splendidly. Brad and Angelina spent much longer with the Duke and Duchess than planned. They ended up staying for almost a few hours."
