Why is it so funny when old people don’t know who celebrities are? Jay Z’s subway friend - Ellen Grossman - made the news when she asked the infamous rapper what he did. Now, Mr. Comfort, a consultant for Brad Pitt’s new film, Fury, had no idea who the Hollywood ‘A-Lister’ was.

He had no idea who this man was: Brad Pitt

"My regiment, the Light Dragoons, got in contact with me about three weeks ago. They'd been approached by an ex-officer who worked for a film company and asked if there were any old boys left,” explained the war veteran. "Then Brad Pitt phoned me and said he wanted to speak about Sherman tanks for a film. He talked me into going and, I have to say, I was extremely well treated.”

Fury sees Pitt star American soldier fighting Nazi Germany toward the end of WWll, which, according to the director, David Ayer, will "bring a fresh execution to the genre. What these men went through is worthy of a complex, honest portrayal. This will have incredible, visceral action and complex rich characters. I plan to bring tank combat to life in a way that lands with a modern audience. (First Showing)

Pitt has had to shave his signature ponytail for the role as he and fellow co-star Shia LeBeouf train with military officials with a view to buffing up for the role. But physicality isn’t everything, and that’s why Comfort was enlisted, to consult the actors on the intricacies of the second world war. "They wanted a lot of information to make it accurate and fired a lot of questions at me,” added Comfort. (The Telegraph)

"Mr Pitt was very friendly and charming actually, but I didn't know who he was. I said to him, until last night I didn't have a clue who you were and then I Googled you and you've been in quite a lot of films. They all rolled about laughing when I said that." Fury is currently filming in England, and is slated for release in November 2014.

It's set to be a big year for Brad Pitt, who starred in the mega-grossing blockbuster World War Z and is set to appear in Steve McQueen's 12 Years A Slave - the current favorite to win Best Picture at the Oscars.
