The rumour has started again with regards to Brad Pitt's love life as the media take an interest in his newfound friendship with the stunning MIT professor and award-winning architect Neri Oxman. Despite their apparent closeness, however, it doesn't seem that romance is in the air just yet.

The 54-year-old actor, who is still going through divorce proceedings with ex Angelina Jolie, has been spending time with the 42-year-old American-Israeli after the pair were thrust together to work on an architectural project that Brad has been involved with.

'Brad and Neri instantly hit it off because they share the same passion for architecture, design and art', a source told Page Six. 'This is best described as a professional friendship. Their friendship has not turned into romance as both are cautious and this is, again, more of a professional friendship, but Brad is very interested in spending more time with Neri, she is fascinating.'

He certainly couldn't do much better; Oxman the founder of the Mediated Matter group at the MIT Media Lab and is best known for pioneering the design field of Material Ecology. She's also an accomplished artist, having designed a famous art installation in 2013 called 'The Silk Pavilion' which was woven by 6,500 silkworms.

Meanwhile, Brad's own ventures in architecture has largely been with regards to his Make It Right Foundation, which aims to build affordable, sustainable housing for those who need it, such as those who have been affected by disasters like Hurrican Katrina. He has also been working with Frank Pollaro on furniture design and Thomas Houseago on sculpture.

They sound like a match made in heaven, but there is further evidence that they are not having a romantic relationship as rumours emerge that Oxman has actually been dating 51-year-old billionaire investor Bill Ackman, who recently divorced his wife of 25 years. Oxman was previously married to the Argentine composer Osvaldo Golijov.
