The eight-episode series boasts a seriously impressive ensemble cast.
When the news came out that Netflix was reviving the 2001 cult comedy Wet Hot American Summer, the first question on everyone’s lips was, 'who from the original cast will be returning?’ Well the answer is, most of them! Yes from Bradley Cooper to Elizabeth Banks, many of the film’s now big name stars will be back headed back to Camp Firewood this summer.
Bradley Cooper is returning to Camp Firewood
The cast names were revealed via a 50 second trailer released by Netflix on Wednesday. Bradley Cooper, Elizabeth Banks, Paul Rudd and Amy Poehler are all name dropped in the clip. Also returning to Camp Firewood are Judah Friedlander, Michael Ian Black, Janeane Garofalo, Christopher Meloni, Molly Shannon and David Hyde Pierce.
The film has been raising controversy ever since it hit cinemas.
Over the past few weeks, American Sniper has been touted as an example of quality military action, one of Clint Eastwood’s best, and even received several award nods. However, the film has also ignited plenty of controversy over its depictions of a soldier’s return home. Ostensibly, American Sniper is a character study of a tortured soldier.
Bradley Cooper portrays Chris Kyle in American Sniper.
The movie’s detractors point out Chris Kyle’s apparent lack of trauma – both in real-life and his onscreen portrayal. Intentionally or not, Kyle has painted himself as a remorseless sniper who said his job was “fun” and wished he could return to Iraq to fight even more, and who made millions of dollars and gained worldwide fame writing about his exploits.

With a budget of nearly $60 million, why does ‘American Sniper’ contain one of the worst fake babies in cinema history?
Ever since Clint Eastwood’s American Sniper stormed the US box office the film has been the subject of many debates. But amidst the controversy over the film’s depiction of Chris Kyle, the Navy SEAL with the most kills in U.S. history, another debate has risen online among moviegoers. Just what is going on with that fake baby?

Bradley Cooper is nominated for Best Actor at the Oscars, while 'American Sniper' landed a nod for Best Picture.
American Sniper may be on-course to be the biggest grossing war movie of all time, and it may have scored surprise Oscar nominations for Best Picture and Best Actor, but should we really go along with the whole hero narrative? Not according to documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, who has described snipers as "cowards".
Chris Kyle, played by Bradley Cooper, is credited as the deadliest sniper in U.S. military history. He was killed at a Texas shooting range by a former soldier after returning from Iraq in 2013, though his Hollywood story was already in the works. The movie has already set box-office records for a January movie and pulled in an estimated $105 million for the long holiday weekend.

After dominating the Oscars race, "American Sniper" stakes a claim for the January box office.
American Sniper is on track to win this weekend’s box office. Unsurprising, given the six Oscar nods the Bradley Cooper starrer scooped up this week, including Cooper’s third Best Actor nod in as many years. It earned six Oscar nominations on Thursday, including Best Picture and a Best Actor nod for Bradley Cooper. The Time Warner release even made it seem like even more of an event via asking IMAX to do a lightning-quick conversion for yesterday’s wide release.

Having played in just four theatres since its December release, American Sniper had already grossed $3,4 million. Once again, director Clint Eastwood lurks in the background, springing a stunningly atmospheric thriller on audiences when they least expect it. Honestly, for an 84-year-old Eastwood is an astoundingly nimble filmmaker, able to take an audience right into a tense situation while never cheating with flashy movie trickery. This film grabs us without mercy, pulling us into a morally complex situation that gets our head spinning.
It's the true story of Chris Kyle (Bradley Cooper), the Navy Seal sniper credited with the most official kills after serving four tours of duty in Iraq. Based on his memoir, the film traces him from his religious upbringing, during which he's taught about guns and encroaching evil from an early age. So after the 9/11 attacks, he enlists in the Navy. His sharp-shooting skills are quickly apparent. And as he prepares for his first assignment abroad, he romances local girl Taya (Sienna Miller), a feisty woman who knows what she's getting into. Chris, on the other hand, is instantly thrown into a quandary when his first targets as a sniper are a woman and child who seem to be carrying a bomb. Over the next few years, his marriage to Taya and his moral centre are tested by his military service. And when an Iraqi sniper challenges him, he takes it personally.
Jason Hall's script sticks close to Chris' perspective, which is intensified by Eastwood's coolly efficient direction and Cooper's beefy performance. By putting the audience so tightly within Chris' point of view, we are unable to escape the psychological impact of his experiences, even if real warfare is no doubt much more horrific even than what's depicted here. Cleverly, the film never asks us to judge Chris, merely to see how battle changes him. And Cooper is terrific at finding tiny details that reveal both Chris' altered state and the core stability that never leaves him.

The Hollywood star recently claimed he has never got lead role due to his looks, when hitting back at anyone suggesting he is too handsome to play a Navy SEAL.

The 2001 cult comedy is being revived by the streaming service with most of the original cast returning.
It may have taken less than $2 million at the box office back in 2001, but comedy Wet Hot American Summer has gone on to become a cult classic thanks to its impressive cast list. But now it looks as if the comedy is getting a second chance to break the mainstream, this time as an eight episode series to be streamed on Netflix.

After Steven Spielberg dropped out of directing 'American Sniper' following the real-life death of the main character, Clint Eastwood stepped in - yet he had to find out a little bit about the recently deceased sniper.
Production for 'American Sniper' began back in May, 2012, after Warner Brothers acquired the rights to Chris Kyle's autobiography of the same name. On 2nd February, 2013, Kyle was shot dead at a shooting range in Texas by a fellow ex-marine, suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder. That sort of devastating twist in the tale was enough to cause director Steven Spielberg to leave the project, yet it wasn't enough to keep Clint Eastwood from stepping in and bringing the hero's story to the big screen.
Clint Eastwood - Director of 'American Sniper'
"The studio called and asked if I would be interested in being involved with this picture," explained Eastwood, "and ironically I was reading his book. In fact I was down to about the last 30 pages." Eastwood officially joined the project as a director on 21st August 2013. After receiving the offer, he sat down and finished the book, calling back the following day to accept the job.

'American Sniper' is one of the most remarkable movies of the year.

So is this a gender thing... or just a management fail? We may never know.
The confidential files just keep on leaking from Sony and the latest batch has ignited some gender-related controversy. Basically, after some financial info was leaked, it was revealed that Jennifer Lawrence and Amy Adams (whose names you may recognize from, well, every headline this year,) were paid significantly less than their male co-stars for their work in the Oscar-winning film American Hustle.
It seems like for Lawrence [l] and Adams [r], the pay gap is still a reality.
Aah, pay gap, how we’ve missed you. Well, not really, because the pay gap never went anywhere, not even within the film industry apparently. The good folks over at The Daily Beast have unearthed a message from a message sent from Andrew Gumpert, President of Business Affairs and Administration for Columbia Pictures to Amy Pascal, co-chairman of Sony Pictures Entertainment and Doug Belgrad, President of SPE Motion Picture Group on December 5, 2013, confirming that Adams and Lawrence received roughly 7% of the film’s talent budget each. Meanwhile, co-stars Bradley Cooper, Jeremy Renner and Christian Bale got... get ready for this... 9% each. I’m no math expert here, but I’m pretty sure that doesn’t even come out to the often cited statistic of 81 cents to a dollar.

The 39-year-old actor recently spoke about how his struggles with substance abuse, as well as the death of his father in 2011, helped him prepare for the role of Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle.
Since Bradley Cooper is considered one of the most handsome and successful men in Hollywood, it is hard to believe that the 39-year-old actor had issues with drug and alcohol abuse in the past, and his road to recovery has been far from easy.
Cooper recently spoke about how being ten years sober has helped his career
However, instead of letting these struggles get the better of him, including his father's death in 2011, Cooper spoke to Vanity Fair about using his experiences with addiction to help him prepare for his most challenging role to date in Clint Eastwood's upcoming biopic, 'American Sniper,' in which he portrays Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle.
Gorgeously shot, this period drama has a terrific setting and vivid characters, but is edited together in a jarring way that distances the audience from the situations. As the story progresses, the film also shifts strangely from a riveting exploration of a power couple with a pioneering spirit to a more melodramatic thriller about corruption and murder. It's consistently engaging thanks to the power of the cast, but it should have also been darkly moving as well.
The story is set in the late 1920s, as lumber baron George (Bradley Cooper) struggles under the economic pressures of the impending Great Depression. Then he meets Serena (Jennifer Lawrence) and it's love at first sight. A feisty, outspoken woman with a background in logging, she immediately ruffles feathers in George's camp by giving out advice that's actually helpful. George's two righthand men, accountant Buchanan (David Dencik) and foreman Campbell (Sean Harris), both quietly wonder if this woman is going to mess up their all-male world of underhanded bribes and physical danger. But she develops a rapport with George's hunting tracker Galloway (Rhys Ifans). Meanwhile, the local sheriff (Toby Jones) is trying to get George's land declared protected national parkland.
Oscar-winning Danish director Susanne Bier (In a Better World) gives the film a grand scale with expansive mountain landscapes and a sweeping romantic tone. The Western-style bustle of the logging camp is lively and authentic, as is the continual threat of death or dismemberment on the job. Against this, Cooper and Lawrence have terrific chemistry both with each other and the characters around them, sharply portrayed by strong actors who know how to invest plenty of attitude into even a small role.

"When I first read the script," begins director Susanne Bier, "I called Nick Wechsler (one of the film's producers) and I said 'I think this should be Bradley Cooper and Jenifer Lawrence'". In this featurette for 'Serena', the two lead actors discuss their mutual respect for one-another, and their excitement to work together on the film. Bradley Cooper states "I've sort of hit the jack-pot, being able to work with Jennifer Lawrence." In response, Lawrence explains why their previous work together has helped, as they found it "easy to just kind of jump into it." 'Serena' serves as the third time Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence have worked together on a film.

Even Jim Starlin, the comic book creator of villain Thanos, waded in, calling it Marvel’s best movie so far.

Insiders are saying Guardians of the Galaxy could take over $95million this weekend in North America alone.
Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy looks to be sailing on course to become one of the studio’s biggest movies of all time, thanks to an already phenomenal opening weekend.
Guardians of the Galaxy has proved a hit with critics
Starring Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper and Dave Bautista, the quirky comic book movie has more than exceeded expectations, earning five star reviews from fans and critics alike. But the film’s high praise looks to be echoed at the box office this weekend, with some Disney insiders predicting it will take over $95 million in North America.
By refusing to follow the usual formula, filmmaker James Gunn has made Marvel's best-yet movie, a summer action-adventure that provides more cinematic fun than the rest of the year's blockbusters rolled into one. It's shamelessly entertaining, keeping the focus on sparky characters even as the action spirals into exhilarating set-pieces around them. And the best thing is that the film isn't actually about the big plot: it's about a group of people who should hate each other but instead come together as a team.
In a pre-logo sequence set in 1988 America, a young boy is kidnapped by aliens. Some 25 years later, Peter (Chris Pratt) has become an ace thief who roams the galaxy in search of cash. Curious and charming, he can get himself out of most scrapes, but when he collects a mysterious orb for a client he ends up as the target of two bounty hunters, the raccoon-like Rocket and tree-like Groot (voiced by Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel). And the villainously destructive Ronan (Lee Pace) sends his best fighter Gamora (Zoe Saldana) to get the orb for his own nefarious plan. Rounded up and thrown into prison, Peter, Gamora, Rocket and Groot stage a daring escape with the help of literal-minded muscleman Drax (Dave Bautista), then must work together to deal with this troublesome orb. So they contact Peter's mentor/nemesis Yondu (Michael Rooker) before taking on Ronan and his second-best fighter, Gamora's half-cyborg sister Nebula (Karen Gillan).
Gunn gives the film a look and tone unlike anything in the Marvel universe, with colourful ships, sassy humour and freewheeling action that propels the story and deepens the character at the same time. It also makes the most of the well-worn 1980s mixtape Peter uses as his own personal soundtrack. It's the kind of riotously thrill ride that makes us hold on for dear life, loving every twist and turn. And since it's so tightly focused on the characters, the action plot involving the orb merely adds texture around the edges. As do terrific actors like Glenn Close and John C. Reilly in small but pivotal roles.

Ahead of the Guardians of The Galaxy release, Pratt has spoken of his role as Peter Quill, Star Lord.
It’s been a well-documented rise to fame for Chris Pratt – the guy who used to carve out sections of his Reebok classics because he couldn’t afford new ones that fit. Now, he leads an all star cast in Marvel’s latest multi-movie deal, and if the reviews are anything to go by, he’s got himself a franchise to be proud of.
Chris Pratt executing part of the part-plan he has partly figured out
"What's really nice about this movie is that I believe we did something that's never been done before ... So, maybe people wouldn't have seen me in this role, but that's because they weren't able to have the vision that James [Gunn, director] had for what this could be,” explained Pratt to Collider.

“They're the thieves, the bounty hunters and the neglected”, explains Zoe Saldana of their characters in this featurette. “It's not a typical superhero movie.” Chris Pratt – who plays the ‘hero’ role, adds: “Peter Quill is the only human in this crazy world. He doesn't have superhuman strength or the abillity to fly but he uses his cunning and his charm to get himself out of situations.” Finally, Bradley Cooper – who plays a machine gun-wielding Racoon, Rocket - spoke highly of the melding of genres, both action and comedy. “There's a lot of humour in this one and a lot of heart. There's nothing like it, that's for sure.”

Robert Downey Jr. is the highest paid actor in Hollywood for a second year running, Forbes has announced, putting Iron Man star top of the list with earnings totalling around $75 million. It is his involvement with the Marvel franchise that boosts his position to pole – the movie bagged around $1.2b when it was released last May and comprises the bulk of his counted earnings.

Given Iron Man’s heavy involvement with the Avengers team – the highest grossing single film in the entirety of the company’s output – Downey Jr. presence in the upcoming instalment, Age of Ultron, means he’ll be ‘there or there abouts’ for a few years to come, we’d predict.

Chris Pratt takes the lead alongside Zoe Saldana, Lee Pace, Karen Gillan, Bradley Cooper, Vin Diesel, Josh Brolin, John C. Reilly, Glenn Close Benicio Del Toro and Dave Bautista in what looks to be one of the action highlights of summer 2014.
In a nutshell, Pratt's adventurer, Peter Quill, gets stranded in space and unites a team of unlikely ex-con aliens in order to mount a defence against the cosmic threat of Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe.

Peter Quill runs into some trouble when he discovers an unusual looking orb that happens to be hunted by the merciless admiral Ronan and his army of miscreants. He is an Earthling; an unusual race within his neighbourhood in which he grew up after being removed for his home planet as a child. Naming himself the Star-Lord, he likes to think he's one heck of a superhero - but he's about to meet his match (or should we say 'matches'?). After being arrested by Ronan's people, he is greeted by four other alien outlaws. First there is the enormous Drax the Destroyer who is determined to use his supernatural strength to avenge his murdered family; then there's cyborg Gamora, the daughter of Thanos (an even bigger villain in this story); Rocket, a psychotic gun-toting raccoon; and half-man half-tree Groot. They may be distrustful of each other, but they've got to stick together if they want to save the universe from certain annihilation.
Since when did superhero films have to be serious? Marvel apply comedy to comics with 'Guardians Of The Galaxy', which is based on the original comics by Dan Abnett and Andy Lanning. The movie has been directed by James Gunn ('Super', 'Slither', 'PG Porn') and co-written by Nicole Perlman and is due for UK release on July 31st 2014.

The pals are definitely the ‘it’ girls of the moment and are currently living together in a trendy London home. But how did the two blondes get to where they are today?

Peter Quill is a fearless Earthling pilot who rather proudly proclaims himself to be an outlaw, going by the nickname Star-Lord. It is during his imprisonment that he meets four other intrepid outlaws. There’s Drax the Destroyer, a man of muscle hellbent on avenging the tragic murders of his family; Gamora, a green-skinned cyborg who is the rebellious daughter of Ronan’s boss Thanos; Rocket, a genetically modified raccoon with incredible firearm dexterity; and Groot, a half-man half-tree creature who knows little about the technological world. Despite their reluctance, the five must join together to save the universe from Thanos’ dastardly plans.

Did you know Bradley Cooper was once married to Jennifer Esposito? Well the actress’ new book might just be casting Bradley in a whole new light (that is, if he’s the man in question.)
Bradley Cooper’s 2007 marriage to Jennifer Esposito was so short it didn't really seem worth taking about. Until now that is. In Jennifer’s Way, the actress’ recent autobiography, she speaks of one particularly bad relationship where she labels her ex a ‘master manipulator’. While the ex in question is never named, all signs seem to point towards one Bradley Cooper as the man in question.
Bradley Cooper was married to Jennifer Esposito for five months in 2007
Back in 2006, Jennifer Esposito was starring in sitcom ‘Related’ on The WB network, previously she’d been known for her role as Stacey, the secretary of Michael J Fox’s Deputy Mayor on ‘Spin City’. As for Bradley, his Hollywood career was just beginning to blossom, having starred in ABC’s ‘Alias’ for five seasons and hitting the big screen in Wedding Crashers. When the pair became an item in 2006 they kept things low key, to the point that when asked about their rumoured romance on that year's Golden Globes red carpet Esposito simply said, "I'm not answering that."
The '90210' actor unloads on his former co-stars and friends.
Jason Priestley has released a tell-all memoir, Jason Priestley: A Memoir, which among detailing the 90210 actor's thoughts on fame and family, dishes the dirt on celebrities that he's encountered during his long career in the spotlight. He criticises the shockingly bratty behaviour of fellow stars Shannen Doherty, Mischa Barton and Dean McDermott and reveals the rather gross competitions he and former roomie Brad Pitt used to make up for fun.
Jason Priestley Has Spilled The Secrets Of The Stars In His New Memoir.
On his former 90210 co-star Doherty he recalls taking a private flight with her from L.A. to New York to meet with advertisers and remembers how the actress' diva-esque antics didn't leave the best impression.

Bradley Cooper will not play Indiana Jones - but Harrison Ford could, again.
On Wednesday (March 26, 2014) a new report on the Latino Review suggested Disney was ready to go ahead with a new INDIANA JONES movie. Not too much of a surprise you may have thought, and you'd be right, a fifth Indie movie has been rumored for a couple of years. Only, this report suggested the studio was ready to replace Harrison Ford with Bradley Cooper.
Bradley Cooper Is NOT playing Indiana Jones
The story also suggested Frank Darabont - who apparently wrote a far better script for Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull than the one produced - had pitched a new idea for a new movie.

Jennifer Lawrence has delighted owners of the recently released American Hustle DVD by appearing in one of the disc's deleted scenes lip-synching to Santana whilst wearing rubber gloves and cleaning. Those who have seen the film will remember a similar, shorter scene where Jennifer mimes and dances to Wings' 'Live and Let Die' in front of her bemused son but the extended 'Evil Ways' clip goes all the way.
Jennifer Lawrence Shows Off Her Dancing Skills In The Delete 'American Hustle' Scene.
With her big Hustle hairdo and heavy make-up, Lawrence, AKA '70s housewife Rosalyn Rosenfeld, is the star of her own front room as she shakes, shimmies and bops as she does the housework. In case you needed a closer look at the smallest Guardian, Marvel have you covered
The Guardians of the Galaxy trailer has been out for a week now – plenty of time to get acquainted with the rag tag band of misfits, who call themselves the Guardians. These aren’t your regular superheroes we’re talking about here. And despite the fact that the team includes a green alien assassin and a treelike humanoid, the Guardian getting the most flack has to be Rocket. You know, the raccoon?
Rocket, looking cooler than any racoon ever could.
Rocket Racoon didn’t get a lot of screentime in the trailer – presumably the visual gag of him being, you know, a raccoon, was enough to make people remember him.
If the trailer for Guardians made no sense, here's the brief on the team.
By now nobody is questioning Disney and Marvel’s decision to invest in the Avengers franchise. It started out a bit rough - 2008’s The Incredible Hulk is still a mostly ignored part of the cinematic universe – but by Iron Man 3, the series was grossing billions. Now that Marvel is on sure footing and the cinematic universe has an established fanbase, the studio is making the next move with Guardians of the Galaxy.
Guardians of the Galaxy is one of the most aniticpated movies of the year
On Tuesday the studio released a trailer and it looked like a hot mess. Granted, a hot mess featuring Chris Pratt, but there was also a talking raccoon. It had the unmistakable feel of an 80s sci-fi flick. On that note, here’s what you need to know about GotG’s bunch of A-holes for this movie to make any sense.

As Bradley Cooper calls her "the one", we ask who Suki Waterhouse is?
When Bradley Cooper began dating relatively unknown model, Suki Waterhouse, back in March of 2013, everyone was a little confused. Bradley had just come out of a long term relationship with fellow Hollywood star, Renee Zellweger, but was suddenly seemingly serious with Suki, who had practically appeared out of thin air.
Bradley has called Suki "the one"
Suki, who was born in 1992, is 17 years younger than her Oscar nominated beau and since beginning her now year long relationship with Bradley, her career has gone from strength to strength. Since Bradley announced at the BAFTA awards on Sunday night that she is “the one” for him, we take the time to really delve in and ask, who is Suki Waterhouse?

'American Hustle' costume designer, Michael Wilkinson, was forced to make a number of dresses for Jennifer Lawrence as she stained her white dress with Doritos!
For most of us, white dresses tend to be avoided due to the catastrophic stains which inevitably and quite magically appear all over the material and which are, quite inexplicably, impossible to scrub out. Fortunately, we're not the only ones and even the terribly glamorous and confident Jennifer Lawrence is not immune from destroying her wardrobe, even on a film set.
The cast of American Hustle, Jennifer Lawrence's pristine white dress can be seen on the far right.
Lawrence's white dress in American Hustle was the victim of Doritos stains and on more than one occasion. As a result, the film's costume designer Michael Wilkinson was forced to make a number of dresses for the clumsy star. Wilkinson, who is nominated for an Oscar for his work on American Hustle, was recently interviewed by Vanity Fair and he joked about Lawrence's junk food habits. He said "Jennifer Lawrence is a very, let's say, raw and intuitive young lady, and she's not against eating Doritos and snack food in her costume. So we were glad that we had a couple [of backups]."
