About to appear in yet another film together, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper have admitted that they’re a bit like a married couple. At the Cinema Society’s premiere of the pair’s new film Serena in New York on Saturday, Lawrence remarked that they were a “work husband and wife”.

As reported by Page Six, the secret to the success of their on- and off-screen relationship is apparently “no sex”, joked Lawrence. Serena is the third film in which Lawrence have featured alongside Cooper, and she revealed that she persuaded him to join the project when she received the script for it during shooting for Silver Linings Playbook in 2011.

“I forced him to come onto the movie,” 24 year old Lawrence said. “I mean, any male role is going to make me think of Bradley because in my opinion, he's the best, and I love working with him.”

The professional courtesy runs both ways, it seems, as 40 year old Cooper said of his co-star: “I respect her so much as a professional, as an actor, and I think she's the best there is. And I just learn from her. You always want to work with people that are better than you.”

Off-screen, the two also have a pretty firm friendship and rarely disagree about anything, according to Lawrence, even about things like where to go for dinner. “We're both two of the biggest eaters in Hollywood,” she said.

Serena, a drama set during the Great Depression, opens in theaters on March 27th. Cooper plays a struggling timber baron juggling his business and troubles with his wife, played by Lawrence.

As well as the Oscar-winning Silver Linings…, the pair have starred in 2013’s American Hustle and the forthcoming Joy, due to open at Christmas this year. All three of those films have been directed by David O. Russell.
