Fact: American Psycho writer Bret Easton Ellis is making his TV directorial debut with a series called The Deleted. The show will centre on three people who disappear in Los Angeles. The show is slated to debut next year (17). Bret has previously directed the short films All That Glitters, Orpheus, and Figaro, and he also wrote and produced 2013's The Canyons, which starred Lindsay Lohan.

Fact: American Psycho author Bret Easton Ellis has been selected to serve as the international jury president at Belgium's Film Fest Gent. The writer, who also penned the script for Lindsay Lohan film flop The Canyons, follows in the footsteps of director Michael Haneke and French actress Jeanne Moreau, who previously held the role. The 2014 festival, which will pay tribute to French film, kicks off on 14 October (14).
