Music icon Brian Wilson has recruited his former Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin to join him on his upcoming U.S. tour.

The veteran musician is gearing up to release his new solo album, No Pier Pressure, on 7 April (15), and on Thursday (06Mar15), he confirmed he will be going out on the road in support of the much-anticipated record.

Wilson has asked Jardine and Chaplin to join him on the trek, as the two worked on his track Sail Away for the album, which also features Zooey Deschanel, Kacey Musgraves, and fun. frontman Nate Ruess.

Also joining the tour is folk singer Rodriguez, who had a recent career boost as the subject of Oscar-winning documentary Searching for Sugar Man.

The 17-city tour begins in Saratoga, California on 18 June (15).
