The Summertime Sadness singer was among the stars scheduled to appear on Wilson's new album, No Pier Pressure, and fans of both stars were surprised when their collaboration, Last Song, failed to make the cut.
Now Wilson reveals he didn't scrap the track, as has been reported - it was never recorded.
The Beach Boys star tells Vulture.com, "She just cancelled out on us."
