Murs has reportedly pulled out of Saturday's launch show because insiders have told him he's not received any nominations.
Olly Murs has thrown his toys out of the pram and reportedly decided not to perform at the Brit Awards launch show this weekend, having learned that he isn’t going to be nominated in any of the categories.
The former ‘X Factor’ finalist released his latest album, 24 Hrs, back in November last year and is reportedly “gutted” that he’s been overlooked yet again for even one BRIT Award. Consequently, The Sun reports that he has pulled out of his scheduled performance on Saturday night (January 14th) at which the nominations will be announced.

The Canadian-born singer is to be the next host of the Brit Awards, starting in 2017.
Although born in Canada and now a naturalised Italian citizen as of 2005, Buble has often credited the United Kingdom with breaking his career in the first place, and described the opportunity to host the annual Brit Awards ceremony – the industry’s most prestigious in the UK – as a “great honour”.
“I belong to the UK. They made me,” the 41 year old singer said to BBC News in a statement. “So to be honoured by being asked to do something like the Brits, it's a privilege, it really is.”

This year’s awards came under criticism for the he lack of diversity among nominees.
Brit Awards bosses have promised to make next year’s ceremony more diverse, after facing criticism over last month’s nominees. At this year’s awards the only non-white nominees were in the international artist categories and chairman Ged Doherty has promised this will not be the case going forward.
The Brit Awards have announced changes to help increase diversity.
In an open letter Doherty said: “There was an elephant in the room at the O2. As chairman of the BPI, the music association which organises the awards, I can tell you that it was sat firmly on my lap.”

The boiler exploded at her house on Thursday evening, less than 24 hours after she performed with Little Mix at the Brit Awards.
The 22 year old singer took to the group’s official Twitter account to reveal a couple of pictures which show some painful-looking blisters and scalds on both her hands and up her forearms, which happened after the pilot light on her boiler “blew up” on Thursday night (February 25th).
“So today I had an accident… and by accident I mean I accidentally set myself on fire,” Perrie wrote. “The pilot light on my boiler blew up and it set my arm/hand on fire. Not a pleasant experience.”

Drake decided against the glitzy Brits afterparty on Wednesday night in favour of performing with Section Boyz across town.
Canadian rapper Drake, one of the biggest names in hip-hop, has surprisingly signed with a tiny independent label in London – according to Instagram at least.
The 29 year old star performed alongside Rihanna to an audience of millions at the televised Brit Awards on Wednesday night, but eschewed the glad-handing and back-slapping of the afterparty at London’s O2 Arena for a tiny venue in the East End, where he performed as a special guest of rap collective Section Boyz.
Fans who turned out at the tiny Village Underground venue to see the South London group were left gobsmacked when Drake, the biggest selling hip hop artist in America for the last half-decade, was brought out as a surprise guest.

He accepted One Direction's Brit Award for Best Video with bandmate Liam Payne at the ceremony, and spoke about fatherhood and 'The X Factor' beforehand.
Louis Tomlinson has opened up about fatherhood, describing being a dad to his newborn son Freddie as “intense” but “exciting”.
The 24 year old One Direction singer attended the Brit Awards in London on Wednesday night (February 24th) and accepted the prize for Best Video, as voted for by the public, for last year’s single ‘Drag Me Down’.
In 2016, Tomlinson has been getting to grips with first-time fatherhood since his ex-girlfriend Brianna Jungwirth gave birth to their son, Freddie Reign, back in January. Speaking to ITV2 outside the O2 Arena, he said that “[Fatherhood] is good. It's intense. It's really exciting. This is my first time away from Freddie so it's tough.”
Annie Lennox, Gary Oldman and Lorde all paid tribute to the late icon in a special segment at the end of Wednesday night's Brit Awards.
The 2016 Brit Awards, held at London’s O2 Arena on Wednesday night, saw the late pop legend honoured with a Brits Icon Award presented by Oldman, followed by a performance of ‘Life On Mars?’ which saw Lorde supported by Bowie’s backing band. Eurythmics singer Annie Lennox presented the award near the end of the evening, which Bowie’s friend Oldman accepted on his behalf.

Coldplay, Justin Bieber, One Direction and James Bay were the other big winners at the 2016 Brit Awards in London.
Adele dominated at this year’s Brit Awards, taking home four of the biggest awards of the night in addition to her show-stopping performance of new single ‘When We Were Young’ at the end of the evening.
The 27 year old Tottenham-born singer was named best British Female Solo Artist at the start of the ceremony, and her night only got better from that point onwards, as she also netted the Global Success Award, best British Single for ‘Hello’ and the evening’s most prestigious prize, best British Album for 25.
Adele’s acceptance speeches were among the viral moments of the evening, as she became increasingly lost for words as the evening went on. “To come back after so long away and be so warmly received means so much,” she said, “I got really lost for a while and I didn't know if I'd ever come back. For you all to be so kind to me is so nice.”

The 21 year old star told his Beliebers that worshipping pop stars would only end in heartbreak.
Less than a day ahead of the Brit Awards and his scheduled performance, expected to be one of the most lavish in the ceremony’s history, Justin Bieber has given a new interview condemning the nature of stardom, claiming that fans shouldn’t idolise any pop singers, even himself.
“I would really suggest to people, ‘Don’t put your faith in me’. Because I’m gonna disappoint you every time,” he told British newspaper The Mirror on Wednesday (February 24th). “Yeah. It’s scary. But I want them to know that I’m not going to be able to solve their problems… I’m not that higher power.”

But the biggest surprise addition is Amy Winehouse.
The Brit Awards are coming tonight (February 24th 2016) and so the nominations are up for this year's best British pop acts. James Bay, Years & Years and, predictably enough, Adele lead the pack with four nominations each, while Amy Winehouse gets a posthumous nod in the Best Female Artist category.
Will Adele win Female Soloist?
After becoming 2015's Brits 'Critics' Choice' award winner with the release of his debut album 'Chaos and the Calm', singer-songwriter James Bay has found himself one to beat at the 2016 ceremony. He's up for British Breakthrough Act, Male Solo Artist, Mastercard's Album Of The Year and British Single with 'Hold Back The River'.

The band are nominated in the Best Video category for single ‘Drag Me Down’.
Yes they’re currently on hiatus, but many One Direction fans were hoping for a boyband reunion at tonight’s Brit Awards, where the group are expected to take home the Best Video award. But it seems only two members of the group will be in attendance tonight, with Harry Styles and Niall Horan missing out.
Don’t expect Harry Styles to make an appearance at tonight’s Brit Awards.
According to The Sun, Harry and Niall will snub the awards, even though Harry is thought to currently be in London. A source told the newspaper: “This could have been one last hurrah for the boys at what could be their last Brit Awards as a band.”
The British singer is frustrated that her profile is much lower in her own country than it is in the U.S.
British pop singer Jessie J has expressed dismay that her music isn’t as widely celebrated in her own country as it is in America.
It also makes her “sad” that she wasn’t asked to perform at this year’s Brit Awards – or indeed, at any previous ceremonies – despite the fact she won the Critics’ Choice Award back in 2011 and has played at the Grammys and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Rihanna will perform at this year’s Brit Awards.
Rihanna made her Brits debut in 2008 when she performed her smash hit ‘Umbrella’ with indie band The Klaxons. Then in 2011 she performed a medley of songs including ‘Only Girl in The World’, ’S&M’ and ‘What's My Name’.

Adele is poised for another great year at the Brit Awards, securing a total of four nominations following the success of her multi-million selling album 25. She has the joint highest number of nominations for the 2016 awards, alongside James Bay and Years & Years.
The 27 year old’s third album has sold millions of copies around the world already, despite being released less than two months ago, including 2.5 million in the UK. 25 is nominated for Best British Album, while Adele herself is up for Best British Female, Single and Video (both for ‘Hello’).

Adele will be kicking off a busy 2016 with a high-profile appearance at the Brit Awards, the scene of some of her most memorable performances.
The singer has cemented her position as the biggest pop star in the world in the last couple of months, with her long-awaited third album 25 smashing pretty much every chart record going since its release on November 20th.
In both the US and the UK, it notched up the highest first-week sales of all time (3.38 million and 800,000 respectively), while it also became the most downloaded chart topping album ever. With a performance at the Brits and, doubtless, a handful of nominations to come, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see the 27 year old singer add to her tally of four awards.

The Queen of Pop has confirmed she will take to the Brits stage later this month.
It’s official, Madonna will be performing at this year’s Brit Awards ceremony! With Ed Sheeran, Taylor Swift and Sam Smith already announced for the February 25th awards show, this year’s Brits could be the biggest ever, especially now as the Queen of Pop has added her name to the mix.

Confirming the news herself via Instagram, Madonna posted a picture of the Tracey Emin designed Brits Statue wrapped in black ribbon with the caption, “Hello to all my UK Rebel Hearts!!! See you at the Brits on Feb 25th #BritsImMadonna #livingforlove #rebelheart”.
The group unveil the next single from their number one album 'III'.
They topped UK charts for the sixth time in a row with their 2014 album 'III', and now they are set to release a brand new single from the record (appropriately titled for this snowy time of year), 'Let In The Sun'.
Take That are set to release 'Let In The Sun'
There are good vibes surrounding this upcoming release, since lead single 'These Days' became their first number one hit for six years, and 'Let In The Sun certainly seems to harken to their earlier dance anthems. Producer Stuart Price was on board for the track, having previously worked with the band on their 2010 Platinum release 'Progress'.

Boy George has revealed the alleged drug use at the Brit Awards 2014, claiming to have heard a "chorus of snorting" in the toilets during the show's ad breaks. George, 52, suggested that despite rebranding , venue changes and extravagant performances, the often derided awards show remains the same.

Time for Corden and The Brits to part ways, but not without a bang.
James Corden has become synonymous with The Brits of late, but he’ll have to let go of that tonight when he hosts the show for the last time. He’s planning on going out with a bang, but could we have a live distaster on our hands?
James Corden will be hosting the Brits for the last time tonight
The Mirror have reported that Corden wants to ‘go out in a blaze of glory’. There wasn’t much information, other than the fact the practise run didn’t exactly go to plan…
"Things got a bit out of hand during rehearsals, and the flames were massive, so organisers are a bit worried about how it will go on the night,” a source told The Mirror. “James is confident he can handle it though and it will certainly be a lively opening to the show.”
If that’s not a reason to tune in, then there really aren’t any. Well, there is Beyonce actually. Corden let slip to Zoe Ball on Radio 2 that the queen of pop will be performing at tonight’s award show.
"There's this weird thing with this year's Brits where I've been - more than any other year - told things I can't say," Corden told BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball. "But I figure it's the day..."
He then said, after turning to his PR people, "I must be able to tell you? Beyoncé. Beyoncé is performing tonight. She's performing a track she has never ever performed live before. Ever."
One person who won’t be enjoying Bey’s performance is Jake Bugg, as the little rugrat of contrived pop doesn’t even want to be there.
“It’s boring,” he says. “I don’t really want to go but I might as well. I’ve got nothing else to do. I love the party afterwards, don’t get me wrong, they’re great but the actual event is pretty boring when you have to watch those crap acts perform.”
Don’t go then.

Taylor Swift split up with Harry Styles recently but was spotted out drinking with Tom Odell after the Brits
Taylor Swift is fast gaining a reputation for skipping between boyfriends faster that you can say ‘We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together,’ which, let’s face it, as song titles go, is a bit of a mouthful. After the Brits, Taylor was spotted out with the winner of the evening’s Critics’ Choice Award, Tom Odell. According to The Metro, Odell and Swift shared a few drinks at the Florists Arms in Bethnal Green, before they headed of to the super-swanky Groucho Club in Soho.
Presumably Tom will have been looking over his shoulder to make sure Harry Styles wasn’t around. After all, it’s not that been that long since Taylor unceremoniously jilted young Harry, of the boy band One Direction. Styles’ band also performed at the Brit Awards. At the time that they were booked, we assume that the Awards organisers thought it might make a nice romantic night out for Harry and his country-pop starlet. Of course, they weren’t banking on Taylor’s attention-deficit approach to dating putting the kibosh on their budding relationship quite so soon.
Last night's Brits were an utter yawn fest, so says us
Awards ceremonies are supposed to make you laugh. They’re supposed to make you cry. They’re supposed to make you angry. They’re supposed to shock the living daylights out of you. They are supposed to provide some serious ‘water cooler’ moments for you to talk about at work the next day. Did The Brits do any of these things? Did they heck. The most animated we got last night was when we managed to muster up the energy to actually yawn.
Little Mix divided opinion with their BRIT Awards outfits, though Perrie Edwards denied rumours about boyfriend Zayn Malik.
The Little Mix girls were the talk of the town on Wednesday evening (February 20, 2013) though perhaps not for all the right reasons. The 'Wings' four-piece stepped out at the Brit Awards 2013 in a selection of the most bizarre outfits you're likely to see on the red-carpet all year. We don't know who styles the group, but they really should be relived of all duties, immediately.
Anyway, the girls were quizzed on who they were most excited about seeing at the annual awards' bash. "What am I thinking? Excited to see Justin Timberlake, hello!" Jesy Nelson told Capital FM's Max on the red carpet, while Leigh-Anne Pinnock added, "I just want to see Emeli Sande perform as well, I can't wait, she's amazing!" The reporter had a couple of different questions for Perrie Edwards, who is of course dating One Direction singer Zayn Malik (whom Emeli Sande revealed as her favourite member of the boy-band later in the evening). Edwards took the opportunity to clean up recent rumors about Zayn's beauty regime, saying, "No he doesn't do none of that! He wouldn't pluck his eyebrows! Girls have it so hard, boys just have it easy, sorry, but they do!" Well that's that rumour out of the window then, isn't it?

Four-piece Little Mix surprise with a baffling new look
We've got to give the Little Mix girls credit to committing with their new look at the Brit Awards 2013, but, wow, we're not really sure what to make of this one. Cleavage everywhere, brash colours, garish head gear and a ton of make-up, it harked back in a weird way to Spice Girls' excess of the 1990's. Except we're in 2013 now.
