Brit Awards Adele Coldplay One Direction Justin Bieber Catfish And The Bottlemen Bjork Tame Impala David Bowie Lorde

Adele dominated at this year’s Brit Awards, taking home four of the biggest awards of the night in addition to her show-stopping performance of new single ‘When We Were Young’ at the end of the evening.

The 27 year old Tottenham-born singer was named best British Female Solo Artist at the start of the ceremony, and her night only got better from that point onwards, as she also netted the Global Success Award, best British Single for ‘Hello’ and the evening’s most prestigious prize, best British Album for 25.

Adele’s acceptance speeches were among the viral moments of the evening, as she became increasingly lost for words as the evening went on. “To come back after so long away and be so warmly received means so much,” she said, “I got really lost for a while and I didn't know if I'd ever come back. For you all to be so kind to me is so nice.”

Justin Bieber Says Fans Shouldn't Idolise Him, Because He'll Only "Disappoint" Them

Justin Bieber Brit Awards

Less than a day ahead of the Brit Awards and his scheduled performance, expected to be one of the most lavish in the ceremony’s history, Justin Bieber has given a new interview condemning the nature of stardom, claiming that fans shouldn’t idolise any pop singers, even himself.

“I would really suggest to people, ‘Don’t put your faith in me’. Because I’m gonna disappoint you every time,” he told British newspaper The Mirror on Wednesday (February 24th). “Yeah. It’s scary. But I want them to know that I’m not going to be able to solve their problems… I’m not that higher power.”

Jessie J Frustrated At Low Profile In Britain

Jessie J Brit Awards

British pop singer Jessie J has expressed dismay that her music isn’t as widely celebrated in her own country as it is in America.

It also makes her “sad” that she wasn’t asked to perform at this year’s Brit Awards – or indeed, at any previous ceremonies – despite the fact she won the Critics’ Choice Award back in 2011 and has played at the Grammys and the MTV Video Music Awards.

Adele To Perform At 2016 Brit Awards

Adele Brit Awards

The Brit Awards has pulled off a major coup by landing Adele to perform at the 2016 awards ceremony.

The singer has cemented her position as the biggest pop star in the world in the last couple of months, with her long-awaited third album 25 smashing pretty much every chart record going since its release on November 20th.

In both the US and the UK, it notched up the highest first-week sales of all time (3.38 million and 800,000 respectively), while it also became the most downloaded chart topping album ever. With a performance at the Brits and, doubtless, a handful of nominations to come, it wouldn’t be at all surprising to see the 27 year old singer add to her tally of four awards.

Boy George Brit Awards

Boy George has revealed the alleged drug use at the Brit Awards 2014, claiming to have heard a "chorus of snorting" in the toilets during the show's ad breaks. George, 52, suggested that despite rebranding , venue changes and extravagant performances, the often derided awards show remains the same.

James Corden's Brit Stunt: Going Out With A Bang Needs More Practice

James Corden Beyonce Knowles Jake Bugg Brit Awards

James Corden has become synonymous with The Brits of late, but he’ll have to let go of that tonight when he hosts the show for the last time. He’s planning on going out with a bang, but could we have a live distaster on our hands?

James CordenJames Corden will be hosting the Brits for the last time tonight

The Mirror have reported that Corden wants to ‘go out in a blaze of glory’. There wasn’t much information, other than the fact the practise run didn’t exactly go to plan…

"Things got a bit out of hand during rehearsals, and the flames were massive, so organisers are a bit worried about how it will go on the night,” a source told The Mirror. “James is confident he can handle it though and it will certainly be a lively opening to the show.”

If that’s not a reason to tune in, then there really aren’t any. Well, there is Beyonce actually. Corden let slip to Zoe Ball on Radio 2 that the queen of pop will be performing at tonight’s award show.

"There's this weird thing with this year's Brits where I've been - more than any other year - told things I can't say," Corden told BBC Radio 2's Zoe Ball. "But I figure it's the day..."

He then said, after turning to his PR people, "I must be able to tell you? Beyoncé. Beyoncé is performing tonight. She's performing a track she has never ever performed live before. Ever."

One person who won’t be enjoying Bey’s performance is Jake Bugg, as the little rugrat of contrived pop doesn’t even want to be there.

“It’s boring,” he says. “I don’t really want to go but I might as well. I’ve got nothing else to do. I love the party afterwards, don’t get me wrong, they’re great but the actual event is pretty boring when you have to watch those crap acts perform.”

Don’t go then.

Taylor Swift And Harry Styles Are No More, Taylor Swift And Tom Odell Drink After Brits

Taylor Swift Tom Odell One Direction Harry Styles Brit Awards

Taylor Swift is fast gaining a reputation for skipping between boyfriends faster that you can say ‘We Are Never, Ever Getting Back Together,’ which, let’s face it, as song titles go, is a bit of a mouthful. After the Brits, Taylor was spotted out with the winner of the evening’s Critics’ Choice Award, Tom Odell. According to The Metro, Odell and Swift shared a few drinks at the Florists Arms in Bethnal Green, before they headed of to the super-swanky Groucho Club in Soho.

Presumably Tom will have been looking over his shoulder to make sure Harry Styles wasn’t around. After all, it’s not that been that long since Taylor unceremoniously jilted young Harry, of the boy band One Direction. Styles’ band also performed at the Brit Awards. At the time that they were booked, we assume that the Awards organisers thought it might make a nice romantic night out for Harry and his country-pop starlet. Of course, they weren’t banking on Taylor’s attention-deficit approach to dating putting the kibosh on their budding relationship quite so soon.

Brit Awards 2013 - Why They Were The Blandest Brits, And Who Should Have Won...

Awards ceremonies are supposed to make you laugh. They’re supposed to make you cry. They’re supposed to make you angry. They’re supposed to shock the living daylights out of you. They are supposed to provide some serious ‘water cooler’ moments for you to talk about at work the next day. Did The Brits do any of these things? Did they heck. The most animated we got last night was when we managed to muster up the energy to actually yawn.

Little Mix's Perrie Edwards Dishes On Zayn Malik's Beauty Regime

Little Mix Brit Awards Emeli Sande Zayn Malik

The Little Mix girls were the talk of the town on Wednesday evening (February 20, 2013) though perhaps not for all the right reasons. The 'Wings' four-piece stepped out at the Brit Awards 2013 in a selection of the most bizarre outfits you're likely to see on the red-carpet all year. We don't know who styles the group, but they really should be relived of all duties, immediately.

Little MixLittle Mix's Brit Awards 2013 Outfits Were A Little, Err, Strange?

Anyway, the girls were quizzed on who they were most excited about seeing at the annual awards' bash. "What am I thinking? Excited to see Justin Timberlake, hello!" Jesy Nelson told Capital FM's Max on the red carpet, while Leigh-Anne Pinnock added, "I just want to see Emeli Sande perform as well, I can't wait, she's amazing!" The reporter had a couple of different questions for Perrie Edwards, who is of course dating One Direction singer Zayn Malik (whom Emeli Sande revealed as her favourite member of the boy-band later in the evening). Edwards took the opportunity to clean up recent rumors about Zayn's beauty regime, saying, "No he doesn't do none of that! He wouldn't pluck his eyebrows! Girls have it so hard, boys just have it easy, sorry, but they do!" Well that's that rumour out of the window then, isn't it?

Brit Awards Little Mix

We've got to give the Little Mix girls credit to committing with their new look at the Brit Awards 2013, but, wow, we're not really sure what to make of this one. Cleavage everywhere, brash colours, garish head gear and a ton of make-up, it harked back in a weird way to Spice Girls' excess of the 1990's. Except we're in 2013 now.
